I enjoy discussing CFB with you guys.I would have rather had this be a one page thread. If someone seemingly credible puts something out, I kind of want to hear it once and then move on. Its news, but its not really important news. Right now the news is slow but I would honestly rather have yall start an Auburn recruiting thread than us go back and forth on the same thing we were arguing about in November. I'm tired of the pissing contests. I still don't like what Fairley or Cecil did but Cuz and you are not Fairley or Cecil, as far as I know . So, if anyone has any more news on this topic, I'll hear it, but more arguments here are just going to get even more stale. If you remember last season, I was as vocal of a Fairley critic as anyone else on here My biggest criticism of Chizik is allowing Fairley to play like that, followed closely by letting Trooper act like a 13 year old kid on the sidelines every game. Trooper too, I can't stand that guy, I don't care if he is a good recruiter.As far as an Auburn recruiting thread, I doubt it would get much attention, and honestly (you're going to laugh) but I don't pay too much attention to recruiting, not nearly as much as you guys at least. I keep up with who commits to us, and I follow it heavily in the month leading up to signing day, but that's about it. I'm more interested in them playing on Saturdays as opposed to Chizik sitting in their parent's living rooms when they're sophomores in high school. I LOVE the draft and free agency in the pro's, I think that's so much more of an interesting way of adding players and improving your team. You seem like a very objective guy because I have seen you take several positions that were critical of AU. Cuz is an obvious homer but he's funny as he!! too. I personally would not like to see you guys stop contributing to this site. I agree with moving on too. I certainly understand why you guys get upset when it seems like everybody in the country wants to take a shot at you guys. I know for a fact you would come on here and blast your own team should some credible evidence ever come up. Until then, lets talk some football. It got OSU within a year because of the paper trail, and AJ was busted pretty much immediately, but it took years to nail Reggie Bush, and two years for the LSU sanctions. I'm not expecting anything any time soon.And I've told everyone before, if it is proved beyond a doubt that Auburn gave Cam money, I will be the first to come here and eat my crow and denounce Auburn's actions. After asking for money from MSU, he could have gotten scared that he would get caught asking for money elsewhere, and may have even had threats of exposing him from the MSU boosters. That's literally just as valid of a possibility as him taking money from Auburn.i just don't agree with your reasoning. nothing that was done with msu would have given cecil any fear. they said they wouldn't pay, that isn't a "oh no i am afraid to ask for money again" situation. if cecil is willing to ask for 180k to play for msu and be that bold he sure wouldn't be afraid to ask an auburn booster for money to deliver cam to auburn. I just don't believe that cam went to auburn without cecil getting some payment (especially with what we know with 2 recruits from the 2011 class). it was not going to be free this time regarding cam newton, but unless they get the booster or the witness to go on the record and say yes I paid for Cam they will have a hard time proving it.
