KeepItDownHomeCuz
i work in commercial real estate and with the gov't laying off employees, sometimes it takes a loooong time to get a CO. plus, a CO isn't necessary if structural, mechanical, electrical or plumbing is not renovated, which in a church i doubt any of the above would be involved. not saying it isn't true. i don't know one way or the other but i heard that on the radio a while ago when they were wondering where the money came from.http://www.wsbtv.com/news/25830618/detail.htmlThey did enough repairs to keep the church from being condemned, money for those repairs came from Cecil Jr. And I also believe that parishioners donated labor but I can't find the article I thought I read that in

scottp12
Extensive would be the wrong word to use, Cecil couldn't even get a certificate of occupancy from the renovations made, he just did enough work to keep the building from being condemned.Im a tad bit confused. It was proven that Cecil was shopping cam for $180,000 right? I was thinking the explination from the NCAA was that Cecil was shopping him and "Cam didn't know." Isn't that what they threw the book at Reggie Bush for? I would love to hear the NCAA actually come out and say, "It is totally fine if you parents shop your kids around, just make sure that they don't know about it," since that is obviously what they believe. I am not hating on Auburn necessarily, more of the NCAA. Did anyone see when Dickson committed to Bama? He looked like the sadest kid in the world. His daddy looked like the happiest man on the planet though. Hmmm. Shopping his kid, but his kid didn't know???? Wouldn't shock me

KeepItDownHomeCuz
Reggie Bush's parents were living in a $500,000 house rent free for like two years, completely different. Bafana bafana style!

scottp12
“About $20,000-30,000 went to a church for repairs, and another $150,000-175,000 went to the Newtons.” - WOW! Lets see if that comes out with figures. Still no evidence right now, but lets see what comes out. The truth does tend to come out. As for the 2-3 weeks, he hopes to have the witness/bagman name. probably going to be more like 2-3 months at least to see what happens.Who knows? Cam knows, Cecil knows, and Auburn knows. I'm ready for them to drop the axe or put the axe back in the woodshed for bama.Lol I wonder what danny is hearing about Bama?
scottp12
I just don't see how Cecil went from asking for 200k from mississippi to magically going to auburn "for free." Call me crazy, but you don't go from trying to weasel that much money to nothing.

Call me crazy, but you don't go from trying to weasel that much money to nothing.Perfectly plausible explanation. After asking for money from MSU, he could have gotten scared that he would get caught asking for money elsewhere, and may have even had threats of exposing him from the MSU boosters. That's literally just as valid of a possibility as him taking money from Auburn.

Like I said earlier i'm just ready for it to be finalized like I know you are. I hate how these dang "potential scandal" stories drag and drag and drag on. I want to hear about football all the time! It got OSU within a year because of the paper trail, and AJ was busted pretty much immediately, but it took years to nail Reggie Bush, and two years for the LSU sanctions. I'm not expecting anything any time soon. And I've told everyone before, if it is proved beyond a doubt that Auburn gave Cam money, I will be the first to come here and eat my crow and denounce Auburn's actions. If true, I want Chizik and Auburn's AD's head on spikes. But if not true, I don't want to hear another **** word about it.

If someone seemingly credible puts something out, I kind of want to hear it once and then move on. Its news, but its not really important news. Right now the news is slow but I would honestly rather have yall start an Auburn recruiting thread than us go back and forth on the same thing we were arguing about in November. I'm tired of the pissing contests. I still don't like what Fairley or Cecil did but Cuz and you are not Fairley or Cecil, as far as I know . So, if anyone has any more news on this topic, I'll hear it, but more arguments here are just going to get even more stale. Yall should do a recruiting thread for Auburn though.
