batman123
Accourding to thurman thomas Michael turner may be ready to break down. Hes been taking alot of hits and have 300+ carries a year. I persnally kind of agree with this. He hasnt repeated the year he had in 08 and maybe his best days are behind him. Don't get me wrong he is a solid running back, but he gains atleast 15 pounds each year and probably comes to camp out of shape. I could be wrong, but we need to resign snelling or start looking for another running back after this year. Because i think its going to come. Maybe we could even get trent richardson. Captain Insano
He was the 3rd leading rusher in thee league last year...I'm sure sometime he will start slowing down but I see him being in the top 10 again this yeear...as long as we keep most of our oline together I think we will bee fine for this year....oh and bring in a de...lol
MattM12
Turner will, imo, have less carries this year, but if we are leading going in at the half, expect him to be as dominant as ever.We shouldn't have to put the game on his shoulders, so a complete deterioration would surprise me massively
atljbo
Turner is not done... I just think he need less carries... He should not reach 300 carries
Ohio Dirty Bird
This is a stupid article that T Thomas said You can say this about any RB in the NFL PetersonHillis any of them you name em
HouTexFalcon
Maybe we could even get trent richardson. This will probably require a 1st round pick next year. Which we do not have.
phattywankenobi
"They" said the same thing last year. I do agree Snelling is a must re-sign between the tackles runner.
Magic Man
Didn't Turner show up in great shape last year? I agree that eventually the RB situation, with Turner, will break down, but RB's these days have become a lot more expendable, and a FA can be hand for chump change in a lot of cases. JOEinPHX
If all the talk about increased explosiveness has any merit, we'll see more emphasis on the passing game, especially out of the backfield. If the line can buy Ryan enough time to work those angles, Turner's load will drop off.
Mid-Nite-Toker
Turner is the least of our worries on offence.

Dude had almost 70+ more carries than anyone in the top 10. On top of that, while all of those other backs had almost = the amount of rushing yards, they had almost as many receiving yards, while Turner simply is a fullback in a RB position. I will be excited when we can get a dual threat RB. Quizz could be that guy, and whenever Quizz is in the game, you will see a completely different Falcons offense. Dirty Bird 2
Turner will be fine. Mark my words. Great shape and great wind are just part of it thought. If we can limit his carries until the 2nd half of the season, he'll have more legs and be more lethal in the playoffs. birds_till_death
Last year the talk of camp was how great of shape he ws in so I'm not sure where you get the out of shape thing. He was in great shape last year entering camp but he openly admitted he was in terrible shape the year before. He said he didn't know how to handle all the abuse he had taken that season so he spent to much of the offseason just resting and eating what he wanted that it took him awhile to get back into game shape. That's why he started to really perform half way through the season before he was injured.I'm ASSUMING the OP just thought of that and applied it to both offseasons
Lou_Dog
I beg the one who negged me to debate this.I am not the one who negged you, but I would be willing to bet that you got negged because of your spelling. Its offense not offence. Spelling on a messageboard doesn't matter to me but I bet that is why they did it.
