Tim Hasselbeck's Top 6 in NFC

Recommended Posts

I agree. Packers, Falcons, Saints as the top 3. That is any logical persons top of the conference until we start playing again and see who remains consistent. I still think we will be the #1 seed again, but this time I believe we'll handle our buisness as we should have last year. What a blown opportunity that still stings.

I'd put the Eagles over the Aints, just because they were stuck with Kolb for like 5 games last year. The Eagles are one of two NFC teams that really scare me. The other being the Packers.

Kolb had 4 starts - and won 2 of them. One of those he only played 1/2 a game in - Vick played the final half. However, the fact that he played or started in 3 games after the 1st game of the year is because of the way Vick plays.

Vick has only started all 16 games 1 time in his career and he has never completed 16 games as the QB. He holds the ball too long and by turning himself into a running back during the play - sets himself up for too many hits during the season - and he is prone to missing time because of that.

I wouldn't put the Eagles over the Saints for that reason alone. The odds of Vick playing an entire season and still being in good shape for post-season are just not great. Will he be able to pull off what he has been unable to do so far in his career? I don't know - but based on his playing style - there is a great possibility that this next season will be no different.

You make a really good point, but a healthy Eagles vs a healthy Saints team I think would end in a Philly victory.

Very, very possible. Both teams are talented and it could go either way on any given Sunday - but the fact is - with the talent on the Eagles team - they are definitely one of the most dangerous in the NFL.

we knocked ourselves out

I totally disagree with that statement. I don't understand why no one is giving Green Bay their due. They played an amazing game. I don't think anyone could have beaten them that night. They were amazing.

My Order as of TODAY (could change after FA):

  1. Packers (Obvious)
  2. Saints (I give them the slight edge over the Falcons due to their coaching, especially their DC and OC)
  3. Falcons (They've done nothing to address their 48-21 demolition at the hands of the Packers)
  4. Eagles (Despite Vick's obvious physical talents, I will have to see it to believe it that he has the other skills necessary to master a great defense in the playoffs as we saw in Rodgers last season and Brees the year before.
  5. Bears (They got the man that we should have--Peppers!)
  6. Cowboys (too much talent not to be and they could pass the Bears and Eagles before season's end)
  7. Giants (QB)
  8. Rams (QB)
  9. Bucs (QB)
  10. 49ers (New Coach and QB will be solid)

If you wanna use that logic, we should be above the falcons Sean Payton is 8-2 vs them

an in 7 months you've managed to compile 470 post on a Falcon's board when you're not a Saints fan. I'd hardly have time posting that much in a Falcon's board in that time span. Not including the fact a majority of those post were during the lockout. Do something with your life.

On another note the Atlanta Falcons are up 46-36 all time against the Saints, and 1-0 in the post season. Then again those numbers are as usless as trolling a rival's site in the offseason.

I would still put the Falcons over the Saints as the Saints do have an aging roster, and the fact we haven't done anything to address our 48-21 loss because we haven't really able to address much because of the lockout except for the draft.

Why tha F*** are you worrying about what I'm doing here? I'm here to talk football with people with different opinions instead of a place where all minds think alike.
