SportsCenter is going to have a QB Convo with Matt Ryan sometime in the next hour.

Matt was asked about What he thought about the Franchise heads did when they traded up for Julio and how much pressure that adds to him. Also what he likes most about Julio. He said he thinks it obviously shows that TD, Mr.Blank, and Smitty believe the team is ready to win a super bowl now. He said he Doesn't think any pressure is added to him, but rather taken off because now instead of trying to make plays he just has to get the ball into the hands of his playmakers. He listed Roddy, HD, Jenkins, and Tony as his current play makers. And he was most impressed by Julio's physical size, and did not expect him to be THAT big.

I dont care how it is done. Let the QB hit the open guy and hopefully that guy does something with the rock. Don't care if it west coast, east coast or gulf coast. Just being silly but you catch my drift.

Exactly!! It helped Montana and Young become HOF'ers.

I saw a quick interview with Julio at the ESPY's. He said he has been forming a great relationship with Matt and Matt has an amazing arm. He said Matt can throw the ball anywhere and can throw it as far as you can run. I hope that means they have been working on the deep ball. I can't wait to see Matt throw to Julio in a game.

7 on 7's no real game. Once Ryan gets behind that o-line and faces a little pressure, Captain Checkdown is back.

If I'm not mistaken wasn't Matty 1 of the best in the league last year when it came to pressure and 3rd down situations?

Yes, he has been great against pressure his entire career, even during his rookie season.

And checking it down is something all of the great QBs do.

2010 on 3rd Down

Matt Ryan - 63.3% completion, 1326 yards, 15 TD's, 4 INT's, 104.1 QB Rating

Michael Vick - 57% completion, 696 yards, 6 TD's, 2 INT's, 96.9 QB Rating

Career on 3rd Down

Matt Ryan - 60% completion, 3506 yards, 28 TD's, 14 INT's, 90.4 QB Rating

Michael Vick - 51.4% completion, 4076 yards, 28 TD's, 14 INT's, 79.9 QB Rating

Who can't handle pressure? Ryan >>>>> Vick when handling pressure. For career stats, Ryan has played in LESS THAN HALF as many games as Vick!!!

You know Vick got a lot of first downs running the ball too right?

Yes, I also know he took a lot of sacks, had a lot of fumbles, a lot of injuries, a lot of federal prison time, and a 7 year head start building his stats. But I didn't really see the need to go there because the stats speak for themself.

You didn't give all the stats you just hand picked a couple to prove your point of view.

I swear some of you are no worse than the Vick trolls. Let it go. he's not coming back so why you mad?
