sharky
Each year this question could be asked, especially with the addition of new players. Now that we have JJ who will more than likely take over the #2 spot, what would you do with Jenkins? Would you try and get something for him now while he's still young. Maybe try to trade for a 1st round pick next year? Personally I would like to keep him but I still have to think about next year's draft, some of the other players (WR's) we have on the team can probably contribute just as much as Jenkins. What do you do? I think Meier and HD will break it open this year.
Peyton
I can't think of a single player that would draw an offer that I think the Falcons would be better off trading. I don't think the Falcons could get anything for Jenkins.

metatron360
Jenkins could probly be dealt to the giants who are in need of a big bodied WR. They are stacked at dline and will need to make room for the 1st rounder Pierre, this is where we could pickup a d- end.
Guest mashburn
you could say turner but snelling maybe leaving, and we do not want to be in a situation of loosing both. the only person I can slightly think of is M. koenen.

Herr Doktor
Nothing really. It's not like any one position is grossly over stocked on our team.

Sheldon Cooper
TD promptly traded Houston after Robinson was signed. I expect as much with Jenkins who is a very good #2 WR. He is not an elite #2 WR which seems to be what our fans want. Jones gives us two #1 WR's in my opinion. With Gonzalez in his last year, I would like to see us try for Oakland TE Zach Miller so that we dont have a dire need there next year. For the most part I want to retain our own players, while only signing one or two free agents from else where. I think we could rack up compensation picks with the number of free agents we replaced from last years depth or this years draft.
Peyton
I dunno, we unloaded Chris Houston. Jenkins HAS to be worth more than him. I'm not sold on trading Jenkins though.Houston was playing on a rookie contract. That's the only way the Lions give up a 6th to get him. They got a corner playing for minimum wage that was better than every corner on their team. It was a good deal for them.

sdogg
I can see Turner getting traded NEXT YEAR(2012), especially if Quiz does well and we resign Snelling. RB is one of the easiest spots to fill and can be filled with mid/late picks. But I dont see anyone getting traded this year, except maybe Jenkins. But i doubt we get much for him, so I would just assume keep him and have great depth at WR for a change.

Atlfanstckndenver
oh the falcons will get something for jenkies but it sure as heck aint gonna be someones first round pick. Personally i wouldn't mind trading Jenkins NEXT YR MAYBE. That trade would imply that our receiving unit as a whole will have stepped up by then . BUT if it turns out that our three wide sets with jenkies is what can win and dominate games id say hold on to him while you can. J-RoC770
No way Jenkins would be traded for a 1st. If that situation happens, we be stupid not to give him up. I like to think the most logical trade is maybe a 4th and a 6th rounder for him. I'll trade him away with no thoughts if someone offered a 2nd. RB is one of the easiest spots to fill and can be filled with mid/late picks.Well, if RB is so easy to stock with mid/late rounders like you say, then nobody's going to give us anything for Turner when they could just use one of their own picks to get themselve a RB (one cheaper, younger, and with much less tread on the tires). Falconcheff
I think we could get a team to trade for Sam Baker. Some fans are down on him and some think he's fine, but we all agree that he's not Jared Gaither quality. However, he is a three year starting Left Tackle, and they don't come around often. Some team will bite that hook, but only after we secure Jared Gaither through FA. That move would make Baker expendable.
Voice of Reason
The only players on our team that MIGHT get us a first rounder are:RyanWhiteJonesBabineauxand maybe, just maybe Spoon.
Peyton
There is absolutely Zero chance the Falcons would get a 3rd, 4th, or 5th round pick for Jenkins. I'd be stunned if the Falcons got a 6th for him and I suppose I could see them getting a 7th if a team was desperate for a WR.The applicable comparison is Patrick Crayton. He is about the same skill level as Jenkins, and probably better actually. The Cowboys shopped him last year and eventually got a 7th from the Chargers, just because the Chargers were desperate for help at the position. Now, add in the fact that Jenkins is due 3.5 mil and Crayton was only due 2 mil, and it's probably the case that nobody will give anything for Michael Jenkins. DD: Objective Elite
I would take a 4th rounder for Jenkins in a heartbeat. He's been a decent player that has made a few game winning plays in his career, . Jones is clearly going to be our #2 and I expect HD to cement his role on our team in the slot. It's time to move on and give Jenkins a chance with another team. Edited July 12, 2011 by dirtydealin5858
abcranford2
well...all it takes is one team. there are a bunch of teams in need of recievers...st louis, cleveland, chicago, carolina, etc. you never know
Herr Doktor
Overstocked with bodies at nearly every position except CB and Safety.Overstocked with talent ??????????????I don't think we are deep enough anywhere to make a huge trade. Just look at the roster. We have some good players, but in the end we are thin.
Quizztorris
Noone wants an old dog. They want the pup that they can teach their new tricks to. I think guys like Meier or HD are more attractive trade options to other teams than Jenkins although I'd rather get rid of Jenkins than Meier or HD.
