van note
Yeah, that was stupid of Weems. Also remember that time his dumba** broke like 5 tackles and returned it for a touchdown against the Bucs to get us back in the game. We probably would have lost that game and the division if he hadn't done that ****. He sucks.hahahaha
Brewcrew
Norwood has been one of my all-time favorite players to watch run. To bad what made him electric was also his Achilles heel... His chicken legs (see video @ 00:19). http://youtube.com/IZ5BPNovBes

Dem Birds
I an going to fund the tape. Cause I know he could have called fair catch, cause he did and he choose to move away and let it bounce. And also do you not remember when he did it in another game and it hit michael jenkins (i think it was him) on the back off the foot? Could have been all safe if he would have at least called fair catch and got it,.instead he called it and let it bounce into out own player and be called the other teams ball, instead he let it roll 30 yards. I will be finding tapes to show you all.It was DeCoud. And the ball was like a half a foot from the sideline, it was a fluke play and no one should be held accountable for that. You're ridiculous. You're ridiculous.he called for a fair catch, why not take it? and I know it was a fluke play but he did it way to much and it finally caught up with him, and also caught up with him to rolling for minus yards. I just want to know why he couldn't just take the catch. I mean he calls fair catch, why not take it.

If it had not hit DeCoud's heel, it would have gone out of bounds, not rolled down the field. It was basically a shanked punt anyway. It barely went into our territory, if at all. Guest mashburn
Well because when he was running over the ball, his own player ran into him. That's why. Watch your own highlights that you posted in the other thread.to me he was doing what he always does when he does his fake fair catch calling thing. which is standing back 10 yards and calls fair catch then the saints run into him first and then our own player runs more into him, but the first touch was by the saints player.I'm just saying he does this a lot. and why cannot he not catch his own fair catches he calls? Why ******* risk it?so call for fair catch and move away instead of calling a fair catch and catching it? if he is scared he is going to drop a fair catch, then he really doesn't need to be in that position. Dem Birds
so call for fair catch and move away instead of calling a fair catch and catching it? if he is scared he is going to drop a fair catch, then he really doesn't need to be in that position.Like has been said before, you have no idea what he's been told by coaches. (Among other things you have no idea about.)

Atlfanstckndenver
why do people on these boards assume that the decision made for fair catches is strictly weems decision alone? From my perspective it clearly looks as tho he is coached to be conservative on returns. The thing is its the exact same principle our offense used last year. We pretty much tried not to score on any given play. As if at all cost to keep the defense off the field. my point is that with our conservative approach on offense why is it so hard to envision the same principle being used with our special teams? If this is the case then the coach's need to just let him do his own thing and catch, not fake a catch and let it roll 1-40 yards. just seems like it is better to catch the ball, because they usually roll for the worse. Atlfanstckndenver
I don't have any problem with Weems fair catching punts. It fits right into the Falcons personality of conservative ball control football. The best thing about Eric Weems is easily this though - Zero fumbles in 58 returns.i dont know if thats just for kick returns or punt returns or what. Maybe that stats just for last year. That would make sense. I just seem to remember Weems fumble the season before last when we played the eagles in the first half or early 2nd...and by no means am i a detracter of Weems i just feel like thats literally the only fumble i can remember from him. I don't know the games. Philly game sounds right though, pretty much everything went bad in that one that could have possibly gone bad. sharky
Norwood AVG for recieving can always give you 9 yards in every year he played for us, yes even last year. The falcons show to use Norwood more and more every year as recieving and less and less every year for rushing.Man, I remember the 2006 game opener against the Panthers and Norwood was killin their defense. can't remember how many yards he rushed for but he was on the verge of breaking off 40, 50 60 yard TD's. I know he had runs of 15 yards and better.
