im a big fan of j rock, he plays hard and plays to win every possession.

he withstood a sec beating and has had some bad luck in the league.

he is a playmaker. i hope we manage to keep him.

im not sold on quizz, a 5'5" 4.6 40 time rb sounds like the second coming of garrett wolfe-who has gotten as much playing time in the league as i have.

i returned kick offs and i didnt wanna touch returning punts, i have covered both punts and kicks and u know that you have the potential for a kock out hit right when the ball hits the kickers foot, punts and kicks are also way harder to catch then a pass.

So you know that he isn't scared one bit. It is just plain hard. There aren't many good PRs for TDs because of that reason. An average of 10yds is remarkable

I've always liked Norwood. He's electric. Speed to spare. His running style is similar to OJ Simpson. Upright runner with long strides. Ability to outrun a secondary.

Last year we lost Dimitri Nance from our practice squad because we kept Norwood. I don't see the FO making that mistake again.

norwood believes he is done?

I'm not sure if the falcons will can him. I think they will if they need room for someone else for the 53 man roster. but he is a FA this year.

I laugh at his agent though. he states that Norwood has recovered from his injury. I so bad want to ask him "which one?"

There is no guarantee that Snelling comes back and Gartrell is a similar type of player. I say we still bring the guy back if he can handle. He won't be retiring so lets keep him home.

there are 2 threads on page one now, each ok but added together could mean TROUBLE.

this one implies that Norwood is done and the other implies that Snelling is leaving.

WOW if both of these turn out right -- that leaves;

Turner - enough said

Rogers - a ROOKIE

A. Smith - a complete failure last year -much to my surprise

G. Johnson - ??? - had a good ypc last year but very few carries and very few catches.

HELP PLEASE

It's funny how most of the people calling him scared have never returned a punt once in their lives. I used to return punts and kickoffs when I played. Punts are terribly hard. Literally everybody is running at you and it is hard to find a lane while trying to track the ball and making a split second decision between fair catching or not. Yes on TV it looks like he has room to run but you aren't on the field.

He hasn't been the reason we lost a game which is fine with me.

I sat on the 2nd row of the lower level( Now 1st row COME ON SEASON). It looks like he has a lot room in the Georgia Dome as well. I never said returning punts isn't difficult, that's the reason why I do not play in the NFL because I do not have the skill to do so. Weems is an NFL player so as difficult as it is or not we are paying him 20X's what I make a year to do what is "terribly hard".

Weems just like every other player in the NFL has flaws. Why this board acts like Weems is Jesus Jr and can do no wrong is just a little odd.

read the article, to see what Norwood says.

also I do not like weems returning for us. the proff is when we played NO in our house. Weems let the ball bounce on the fourty and roll all the freaking way down to the 10. WHY???? oh and that was not just once is was a couple times he did that, also he called way to many fair catches for no reason, all in the same game. Yes I do know he returned for a TD, but come on man, he should have at least got yardage other then that. Weems looked very scared, and continued to look scared. something happened to him.

I hope Franks starts to return the kicks.

What in the holy **** are you talking about? You know Weems was a Pro Bowler right?

Im pretty sure he didnt expect the ball to bounce an extra 30 yards. Weems is a great returner and is very smart. Sometimes being smart can be a bad thing cause anything can happen on any play.

He did. I am a season ticket holder. I remember, cause I was sitting there the whole time going "WTH is wrong with him"

So if someone makes pro bowl we should keep him? do you really want me to start naming people who sucked after they became a pro bowlers, cause I already have 4 names that hit me.

just let me know

He's a freakin kick returner/punt returner, of course you keep him after he makes the Pro Bowl. He's not some 1500 yard receiver whose going to command a gigantic contract. You let him keep doing what he did to make the Pro Bowl until he proves he can't do it anymore.

thanks. it really upsets me with all those people saying how amazing he is all cause he made pro bowl.

and very very nice with getting tickets up close. I was about 5 rows from the top on the goal line in the top section, now I am in the top section still but on the 50 yard line and 9. I like being up top, that way I can see everything going on.

I'm not going to start calling names of guys who went to the pro bowl, who had year after apperances sucking. and you do know weems was a back up. also you do realize that in the past few years pro bowl has been moved to in front of the super bowl, meaning that teams in the super bowl very doubtful go to play in pro bowl. so not only could someone in the pro bowl have taken his spot, but also he was just a back up.

what did he do in the pro bowl? anything?

just go ahead and get off of the horse, you will only be deffending a guy who was just a bench warmer. it would be like defending a guy who was pretty good in college and went on to being a bench warmer in the NFL.

no one can offer him that much, so I hope the fqalcons could keep him fpor cheap. without his injuries I do really like him. the falcons must have really liked him to keep him through all the injuries.

I do hope we can keep him for cheap.

LOL good catch. I ment pro bowl. lol

Just to clarify, Weems was elected to the pro bowl as a Special Teams player.

Devin Hester was elected as the punt/kick returner.

Weems played STs - only - in the pro bowl

Devin Hester handled all of the punt/kick returns for the NFC

I thought he was elected to be as a back up PR/KR as well. but even if he was only for ST only, proves to my point more that we should not only keep him just cause he made pro bowl.

I can understand someone saying we should keep roddy or even grimes. but I guy who was only on ST?

Yeah I love my seats. For the last 4-5 years my seats were on the "away" side sec 133 I believe maybe 132, I forget. This year my seats moved across the field over to the "home" side same area I think along the 20 yard line but 1st row. I CAN NOT WAIT!!!!!!

I can understand why you'd like to be up top. When I describe what the difference between the upper levels and the lower levels to friends, I tell them upper level is similar to Tecmo Bowl, and lower level is Madden 12. Just depends on which you like.

I like being close to the ref's so that you can tell them that they are a piece of **** scumbag mother ******* idiot when they blow calls.

No he didn't. He went as a "specialist" meaning - he was in the probowl for his coverage skills, not his return abilities.

Lol thanks for spelling it out. I don't think those guys were ever going to understand and I wonder if they will now.
