As AI would say... "we sitting here and you guys talking about practice.. Not a game, not a game, not a game, we talking about practice".Jenkins is also in trouble he has a large contract and has to prove he can contribute to the team in a #3 WR role. It takes a couple years to fully recover from the kind of injury he had. This could be his year to shine and contribute.

Morgan Freeman
I think we'll cut the guy who makes the most money, not named Roddy or Julio.Julio's blocking will compensate for the lost of #12.The rest of the guys on the list can more than make up for his underrated play on ST as well.Other than that, it wouldn't be much of a drop of if any as far as making plays from the receiver position. Herr Doktor
Meier. He's been hurt and has a lot of catching up to do. Clearly he's behind the curve. If it boils down to an odd man out, he's done. Weems is a fricking pro bowler
Dharma Initiative
Douglas. A knee injury doesn't make you drop every pass, he has no advantage over Jenkins.
kane#7
My money is on HD. Can't wait for the games to began.Don't get me wrong I hope HD is great but letting this guy go would be a BIG mistake.. When I watch this I see a player that is doing a lot for us now and I hope we give him more opportunities at WR because he could be a BEAST in the slot, and this isn't even counting him being one of the best ST defender in the league. Butudontseeme™
I def not saying get rid of weems but the need for a kick returner/gunner became a lot less important with the new kickoff rule changes
kane#7
I def not saying get rid of weems but the need for a kick returner/gunner became a lot less important with the new kickoff rule changesI kind of agree with that but the punt return game is still a big part...But I view Weems as this years Grimes.. He just needs his opportunity to show what he can do and I think he will be great.

They are kind of similar type players
Robb4242
meier or douglas. probably meier. I dont even know why everyone is so big on the dude. Not sure why everybody is so high on Meier either. Because coach said something positive about the guy once? Does anybody really think that coach would have said ANYTHING negative about a young guy on the roster with no playing time in his career thus far? Meier & Douglas would have to be the bottom two on the list and TC/preseason will determine which one stay & which one goes most likely. hakim24
I think it is a good chance that Jenkins gets cut. If not, I definitely feel like we will try to restructure his contract. He will be making way too much for a #3 or #4 WR. Especially since we have some key guys to resign.

Especially since we have some key guys to resign.Sounds like with the new CBA we're going to have meet a certain level of payroll & that rookies are not going to get nearly as much as they used to be paid. Veteran players are supposed to be the ones to see the increase in salaries, and if that works out to be true, then what we are paying for Jenkins may be right in line with market value.
