Atlfanstckndenver
The more i look around at the list the more i realize... SCREW INVESTING IN ASOMUGHA. There are so many great options for an (at the least very) solid 3rd cornerback. I like Florence. I have to say i havent watched him a ton but my room mate is from buffalo and ive seen my fare share. For some reason i tend to like the way buffalos corners play (they just need an offense and better front 7.) It seems the Bills DBs are well coached, and if you look at the fans message boards and points of views youll see they really like this guy. I REALLY like the idea of upgrading our 3rd cb spot for the near future to allow for a better potential super bowl run; while at the same time allowing our young guns at the position needed time to grow and an opportunity still in the near future. (Hence Florence is 30 and not a long term option, a better version of BWill if you will) Most importantly a move like this clearly wont break the bank. Not handcuffing us when time comes to retain homegrown players, or even other free agents for that matter. What do you guys think??? Is Drayton Florence someone you would consider???? Dem Birds
I agree that the Bills consistently seem to have solid secondary coaching. But all these names that are being tossed around, how many of them would accept being a NB? Isn't Florence a starter? Same with a lot of the names getting thrown around. Why would they leave their team to take a demotion?

At the same time if your a player coming from a losing club such as buffalo going to a winning team with a shot to play in the super bowl is not any incentive to scoff at. Not to mention the guy is 30, and hes not asomugha. Its not like he would never start either. Injuries happen. Plus its not like he couldnt compete for one of the top two spots. (good way to keep players motivated if you ask me) He could even potentially get a pretty close number of snaps compared to our other two starters. Mike smith even considers the 3rd cb spot as a starting spot. (My take on that is that he thinks a starting caliber player is required there) Overall ive seen a lot crazier happen.... He would see the field plenty. Didn't he leave San Diego for Buffalo?Edit: Nevermind, he had a stop in Jacksonville first. And he is from Waycross, Georgia. That's some incentive... but he's only had 11 career INT's? That's unimpressive.
vel
I like Florence a lot. He is capable of playing outside in a pinch and could even play out there when they move DRob to the inside like they planned on. He is smart and can just flat out play. I realise thats Kind of a stupid point but ive said this before we dont need a guy who's a ball hawk, we simply need aguy who can provide solid play with whatever snaps hes given. Preferably someone who can start in a pinch as well as allow our coaches to slide one our top cover guys to the slot when its called for. Getting a startable 3rd cb will give our defense a level of flexibility with matchups we just haven't had in a very long time maybe ever. The best part??? its possible and fiscally responsible at the same time and w a rusher i think wed end up in the super bowl. I truly do believe that.
