madman88
Asomugha comes here means we're losing either Grimes or Robinson, which means that's going to be only 2 WRs on the field at a time that are well covered. Guess what happened against Green Bay, it wasn't Grimes or Robinson being abused. I'll give you a hint, it was a OUR NICKEL BACK that was getting abused. Only in Madden will you see Asomugha, Brent Grimes, and Dunta Robinson on a Falcons depth chart. People need to get it through their thick head that we can't buy Asomugha on a credit card. We get Asomugha, who's going to get an astronomical contract, we will be losing other quality players. Cutting so-and-so and their 300,000 contract isn't going to cut it. i agree wit u man.. ppl are just going to be on cloud 9 when it comes to aso.... some ppl think one player can make the LBs cover better, or make the D-line get sacks... it all starts up front, and if we dnt win the battle at the line of scrimmage then it doesnt matter who plays CB.... but some ppl are just stubborn i guess..ts like they forgot we have the most guys to resign in our division but they think if we lose them and get aso we become a better team??? wow Edited July 8, 2011 by madman88

While there is no dispute that Aso is a significant step up from Grimes - Falcons get destroyed most when opposing offense goes 3-4 wide outs.Falcons would improve more by re-signing Grimes, possibly signing an upgrade at nickelback and go big with Charles Johnson at DE - that is the better formula for improving the defense than signing Aso, losing Grimes, not signing an impact passrusher, and not upgrading the nickelback. vel
I have actually let the thought of Haynesworth cross my mind a couple times but I just don't see it happening. I don't blame him for the way he is acting in Washington to a certain extent. His contract is incentive laden and the moment they switched to the 3-4, he was doomed to ever reaching those incentives (sacks, tackles, etc). Ask Aso how that went. He wanted his contract and had intentions on earning it. 37 tackles and 4 sacks down to 16 tackles and 2.5 sacks. But he is 30, would have to start leaving Jerry and Peters in back up roles. Let a DT needy team have him. We don't need him.
Radical
He could have opted out of his contract, but he wanted to stick around for the bonus money. g-dawg
lmao.. seriously? CJ wouldn't be much of an improvement but okayyyyyyyyyyy.yeah, i don't know why anyone would think a 24yr old guy on a lousy defensive line that produced 11.5 sacks last year would be an upgrade.....sheesh! totally agree w/ you Skarr...okayyyyyyy

Or should we try to win now and sign Haynesworth.Yes, that means it would take away some playing time from Jerry and Peters but we all know Haynesworth doesn't have the stamina to be a 3 down lineman so I see plenty of opportunity for Jerry and Peters to rotate in and make an impact. Ga_spider
We all know the Falcons chance of winning the Superbowl is 1000 to 1 unless they sign these guys.I'd say those are the same odds as you having a decent post.
