vel
Uh oh...!We all know it's either him or Edwards. They know Blank's checkbook is open.
Tribal Chief
That doesn't mean he want's to come to Atlanta though. If we did go big at DE, I would take him over the much over hyped Ray Edwards

Tribal Chief
I'm sure Carolina will do everything in their power to keep one of the true young stars in tact. He says he wants to win but we all know at the end of the day it all boils down to $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$. TD and Blank can take the aggressive route, but I'm sure Carolina and other teams in need will be doing the same thing. I have a feeling that alot of fans on alot of teams will be very upset once free agency starts though.

I have a feeling that alot of fans on alot of teams will be very upset once free agency starts though. It's not always about the money. My cousin played in Detroit and says to this day that he would give back $5-10MM just to have won a few playoff games any day of the week. Once you make enough money, you can't spend it all (at least if properly managed). Some players are greedy, some players want to win, some players like playing at home. Ask Dunta. I bet if TD offered him $10MM less, he would have taken it.
JRid
I've got to say that is very encouraging and exciting to read. There is no way that he can't be thinking about being a Falcon. He grew up in Ga. and was probably a Falcons fan his whole life. Van Gorder was his coach at UGA for awhile and we have an excellent team and organization. He knows we need a DE and I've gotta think he would like to play here so you know he has discussed it with some friends and his agent. I was a little worried that he wanted to stay in Carolina no matter what, but that tweet says a lot. TD and Arthur will make it happen. They know how good he is. Guest Gritz
Dayum. That is encouraging to read....and I disagree with the earlier poster who said that's it's all about the Benjamins for all of these players. Johnson is going to get paid regardless of where he suits up.First thing he said is he wants to win.Atlanta is a really good place to do that. DirtyBirdSupabowl
I dont know why he wouldn't want to play for us. 1)Its his home town2)The team is a superbowl contender only getting better3)Play opposite Abe and with Babs who will free up more one on ones4)Play on a young defense who will be together for some years5)Blank will pay whatever it costsI really want to sign this guy, its a great situation for us sign a young guy who will upgrade us at our weakest position and we are taking him away from one of our biggest rivals. We have been trying to upgrade that position for a while now and I think he can be the answer.

bighurt
That is very good news, he will be a best in Atlanta. if Jerry steps up this will be a monstrous front four. (Abe, Babs, Jerry, Johnson). Hopefully we can sign a Jothan Joseph also and we are set, minus LB.

youngbloodz
Charles Johnson has been producing ever since he came into the NFL. Would be a monster on the Falcons D line
RHEC
talk to the uga homers.I am a uga fan but some people think CJ is going to come out and dominate because he had 10 sacks the first year he started.. not to mention he was his contract year. IceFalcon
If you think he is overhyped, he scored higher on the list than Ray Edwards in the past 3 years, and last year on the scoring PFF thing, or whoever did it.There are two threads about it, go read it.Thow u might get n ejumication! atljbo
I love it...lolJust think about it.. You have a rebuilding team or your hometown team thats up incoming...Thats why i said.. We should have a chance to get Johnson... The Panthers is the front runners but its not a open and shut case
