Summer Player Updates

so I know UGA likes to keep the workout info and updates on players scarce during the summers, but is there any info coming out right now?

I know we've brought some more guys in to the strength department, but do we know how its going?

that'd be good, but regardless of whether he plays at 350 or 330 he and kwame are going to be a lot to handle in the middle of that line

Exactly, they should both demand double teams. Which is going to allow our ends and OLB's to make plays. Plus opening up lanes for our ILB's to stuff the run. A large, athletic nose guard makes a huge difference...

anyone heard how jakar is doing? I'd love to hear that he's blowing it up in the weight room and making plays in pass skeleton

tree continuing to put on good weight?

Last I heard...

Jakar is about 205. He said last year he wasn't big enough for the SEC so

I'm pretty confident he's working hard.

Think Tree is around 240. Kid is going to be an animal.

Is that a realistic goal for Jenkins? I figured he was pretty solid w/ muscle being involved with a JC. I guess if he can get down there and be rock-solid, all the better. . . . .

He's in good shape now and he's carrying very little bad weight but I just think he wants to get even better. The stronger at point of attack, the better. I think it's realistic to think he'll be 340 by Boise.

Thanks Kingjamez. . . .Does Geathers have any "bad" weight on him, being in our S&C program since the spring? Those 2 together could be quite the disruptive tandum. They need a nickname if they play on the field at the same time and start tearin' it up!

No expert on S&C here, but I would think so. Kwame has supposedly lost about 20 pounds since last year but has very little fat on him, going by his pictures. I'm guessing he's in the 330-340 range.

I would think whatever fat-weight JJ can shed, without losing strength, will be good. I'm guessing 340-345 for JJ. A lot of times you add muscle in that scenario, to boot. Regardless, there's still plenty of girth for both of those guys.

Think Tree is around 240 ...

Not saying you're wrong, but I'd be surprised if he's that big already in a good way. If he is, hats off to Joe T. But if Tree is 235 by the opener, that would be outstanding, IMHO. So he'd finish the schedule around 230, in that scenario.
