Fairfield Inn & Suites Atlanta Perimeter Center

You can book your room from the 12th through the 19th of October or anywhere inbetween those dates. We are under Falcon's Message Boards. The rates are $55 per night for a King or $69 per night for two doubles. They have an indoor swimming pool, free breakfast that includes microwave breakfast sandwiches, cereals and other stuff and I think they have the thing where you can make your own pancakes. Somebody will have to back me up on that. Anyway you are in walking distance to MARTA and the PERIMETER MALL and there is a sports bar next door to the hotel. If we don't have the game you can always cancel. They are having a produce festival that weekend so rooms are selling fast. They are holding a block of 10 rooms for right now, but will expand if we get more reservations before they sell out of rooms.

If your going to a game in Seattle: Marriott Time Square was really nice but was 200 dollars a night for a double bed room. Walking distance to Qwest field and alot of pubs and nice restaurants. I recommend going to Pikes market they had live bands and a beer garden with a really fun crowd, if you are in town you have to stop by the Crab bucket a restaurant on the waterfront.

This is for our Message Board Get Together that we have once a year considering that we have a season or at least have this game against the Panthers on October 16th. I had to go ahead and set up the hotel because there is a big produce festival in Atlanta that weekend and hotels are going to be filling up. Oh by the way we can grill out in the parking lot away from the hotel. So anyone that live in the area or is driving down, fill welome to bring a grill, table and chairs.

Since the majority wanted the Panthers game on October 16th, I called the hotel to see what kind of deal we could get on that date. There is a produce festival going on that weekend. The only way I could assure we could get any rooms that weekend was to go ahead and reserve a block of rooms. We have been using that hotel for our MBGT for the past two years and they have been very nice to us considering all the partying we do. If we don't have a game, all we have to do is cancel our reservations and we won't be charged. I am going to call Travis Pellymounter in the morning to see about what we can do about tickets and if there is a refund policy if there isn't a game.

Ok the deal on tickets is, if we can get at least 16 people, we can get tickets on the 40yd line rows 18 - 22 3rd level for $55 each. I have to let him know by tomorrow for him to hold tickets for us so please leave your name only if you are serious. If you buy a ticket, your money will be refunded plus interest if the game is not played. Note: no tickets are being held yet. I have to get at least 16 names (15 more since I count as one).

He did say he could hold at least 20 if we get enough names and then more once those are paid for if there are still tickets left. Tickets are selling fast due to the great season we had last year. The only way I could have guaranteed them in advance would have been to pay him up front with $1,100.00 and I am not sticking my neck out for that and getting stuck with 20 tickets.

Remember this is for the Panthers game on October 16th at 1p.m. at the Georgia Dome.

I am going to put this info in another thread.

Once again I ask for a MOD to please pin this.

I'd love to come over again this year, but I'm going to have to hold back on booking any trips until a new CBA is agreed and the lockout lifted, as I can't spending $600+ on flights for a game that may not go ahead. :(

You can go ahead and reserve the room, because it won't cost you anything and you can always cancel in plenty of time to keep them from charging your card. The game tickets can be refunded plus interest if we don't have a game. We have to get at least 16 tickets together before he will reserve the tickets for us, but if you want to add your name to the list, look for the MBGT game ticket info thread. I'm having a hard time getting either of these threads pinned.

I'm gonna bring a few different growlers. You can get them everywhere around here now. Also I have a couple of small grills I am bringing. How did that work out last year? It sucked everything got screwed up and I had to cancel last year. Nothing is going to stop me this year even if I have to go put an end to the lockout myself.

The cookout worked well. They let us grill in the parking lot away from the hotel. It was large enough that we had plenty of space. We were quiet, so there were no problems with the law. We cleaned up afterwards and it looked as if we were never there. We should ask permission again this year just as a courtesy.

Tell me which beers/breweries you will bring?

We already have permission. I asked about it when I booked the hotel. Oyster House brewery has several great selections from their IPA to their Belgian style Ale. There are so many great breweries that have popped up around here now and they are all great. Just give me some ideas of what you guys like the best and I will make some selections. I love the Belgian style ales and the IPA's. I love Lagers as well.

shouldnt you guys wait for the tickets specials or for it to be official. I would hate for everyone to pick out the oct 16 deal and not be able to get the ticket deal like last year. I plan on coming anyways, but I wont need a hotel room.

gfan

CHECK YOUR PM, 2 this game.

Looking at their web site, I am interested in the IPA and the stout.

If you can, cut through Bryson City and stop at Nantahala. Their IPA is one of the best. Chances are, they will have their Oktoberest available as well. The best I've ever had. They sell growlers only though.

That's right, It's another brewery that I am thinking of that has the Belgian, but it is really good. Bryson City is way out of the way unless I can take a trip out to Cherokee between now and then. Bryson City is just north of there. IPA it is. The Oyster House is really good if that is what I end up with. You won't be dissapointed.

I can bring the stout as well, that way we you can try both. I am also going to bring the Belgian.

Looks like we may have a couple peeps from thefalcoholic.com on board as well. Looking forward to another successful year!

Now...the million dollar question...drive or fly? Sexmobile 2.0 is almost at 150,000 miles. Gonna be new car or flight. Or flight and rent a car for a day. Hmmm....
