RHEC
You take tremendous risk when you sign any FA. I don't know if CJ is a great idea or not, but I'm pretty confident that he would be a much better player than Chauncey Davis.I seriously doubt that, he will do nothing here.. he would be lucky to even get 3 sacks here. Seriously people are overhyping CJ.

kenk
The best CB in the NFL. and in the Top 10 100 players of 2010Standing 6'2" and weighing in at 210 pounds, Nnamdi is a force to be reckoned with. In 2007, quarterbacks threw in his direction only 31 times for staggering 10 receptions. In 2008, he was tested only 27 times, giving up only 8 receptions for the year. The living embodiment of "shut down," Nnamdi shuts off an entire side of the field. With a rare combination of height, speed and quickness, Nnamdi is one the best ever at the position.Rod Woodson on Asomugha, "He has a wingspan of probably a guy that's 7'6".Nnamdi's height, long arms, quick feet, and ball hawk skills mark him as special, his football IQ makes him great. The fact that could make him best is that he's done what he has without a great pass rush. madman88
I got to agree with you, because I think he could impact our D more than any FA De out there .... his aquisition would lead to more sacks ........no it wouldnt, ur looking at it one sided... the reason we got 48 points put up on us was because we had missed 4-5 sacks on rodgers that would have punted the ball back to us, even with our POOR LBs coverage down field.... the CBs wasnt becoming a problem till williams went down... before that it was the d-line and LBs not getting the job done... Radical
Maybe if he had more then 1 10+ sacks, that would be a different story. For all we know he could just be another Chauncey Davis. Then you need to learn a bit more about Charles Johnson. To say he's simply a one year wonder because you looked up his stats is grossly ignorant, especially when you say he's no different, if not worse than Chauncey Davis. revenge
Eagles are said to be "going-for-it" and the GM has already publicly stated they are going to be "very aggressive" in free agency - corner is the Eagles #1 need and Eagles are in great cap shape. If the Eagles go with Kolb they are in great shape cap wise, But Vick is a free agent and they can't pay him peanuts this year.Vick will probably get a "Vick type" contract severely limiting wiggle room for the Eagles. abcranford2
if a guy can put up 6 sacks without starting a game, and then he gives 11.5 sacks his first year starting..not to mention the fact that he is doing this on the worst team in the nfl, i don't think theres much to worry about.not to mention...5 sacks would be an upgrade anyways

We will still have problems pass rushing if we did sign him imo.
Radical
Charles Johnson is a dominant defensive end. We sign him, and we're likely to see continuous double digit sack production from him or close to it. My money is all in on the kid, and the only time I have ever gone "all-in" on anything football related was when I said we were going to draft Sean Weatherspoon. Radical
Some of you can believe this if you wantIt isn't about believing, it is about being the single best all around DE in the NFL last year. There was not a single DE in the NFL last year better than him. 12 sacks, 11 hits, 58 hurries, 48 defensive stops, and as far as I know, not having a single bad game last year. Comparing Charles Johnson to Chauncey Davis is like comparing Andre Johnson to Tim Buckley. It isn't even close.

IceFalcon
The more and more I read about Ray Edwards, the less I want us to sign him.Seems like Viking fans are glad hes going to leave, and we might get caught over-paying for him.I'd rather us sign Aso.Dunta, Grimes, and Aso? Would be the best CB core in the league.Edit: After reading the PFF article posted up, I might have changed my mind. 11th most productive DE over the last 3 years, and in the top 10 last year.Yeah he was helped by the Vikings line, but its not like our line is that bad. Watch a Panthers football game, like the ones where he destroyed our Tyson Clabo, who was one of the best pass blocking RTs in the NFL last year. Why don't you ask people who watched EVERY SINGLE SNAP in the NFL last year for EVERY SINGLE PLAYER. http://www.profootballfocus.com/blog/2011/05/21/charles-johnson-already-elite/If Charles Johnson isn't one of the best DEs in the league, then Nnamdi Asomugha is a bum and Roddy White isn't a #1 WR. shockerfalcon
CJ will be a big mistake imo, I don't see him making much of a impact in the sacks standpoint.??? He had 11.5 sacks his first full year as the starter and you dont think he will make an impact????
