Zodiac
Only way we get Aso is if we let Grimes walk and that has slim chance .Grimes is an RFA under the current CBA rules and until the new CBA is released we dont know if 4 year players will be UFAs... besides we could keep Grimes for 6 Mil a year, and Sign Aso for 10 Mil.thats only 23Mil a year for the best secondary in the NFL, im sure Aso would take a paycut down to 10Mil (which is still a ridiculious amount) to be part of a team on the cusp of a championship. I'm sure if we did that we'd let Robinson and Aso lock it down and put Grimes in a Woodson esqe role where he's on the field on 2nd and 3rd downs and we let him roam and do what he's good at, which is making plays. Peyton
Aso/Dunta > Grimes/DuntaTrue...but the biggest problem with the Falcons secondary is depth. Changing out Grimes for Aso doesn't do anything to address that problem.

He'll probably get 13 mil per year at least.

Peyton
.... I meant the Jets...I'd be stunned if the Jets pursued him after resigning Revis. I think he'll end up with the Cowboys or Eagles when it's all said and done.

The Cowboys possibly, but that secondary is currently in the shamble and the team just went 4-12.I know they have a ton of talent, but seriously, why would Nnamdi care about taking a 5 mil pay cut to pay with a secondary that has 2 probowlers and a team that has 9 total.Seriously the dude would still be making 10 mil a year, that's still more then any other CB. With Matt Ryan is receiving 32 mil in compensation this year, I just don't think Blank will be in the position to hand out a $25 million signing bonus to sign a FA corner one year after we signed the top FA corner on the market.I could be wrong, I just think some people think it's not a big deal for him to stroke those checks. I think it's a bigger deal than people think. He's not one of the wealthiest owners.
Quarterback
I doubt it can or will happen, but it sure would be nice for the Falcons to have not just an NFL star on their defense, but at least one player that is the best in the NFL at their position on defense.Been awhile sense we've been able to say this...probably 20 years ago with Deion Sanders. Our defense needs an attitude! Return of SWFT
Some of you people have pipe dreams . Peyton is trying to kick you guys some knowledge listen up .Aso has waited for this day awhile he is going to cash in big time 6 years 85 million 29/bonusLook at Dunta contract and he is twice the player and arguably best shut down cornerTexansColtsRavensEagles2nd we have our Oline to sign. Who thinks they are going to come cheapGrimes will be also looking to a contract near Dunta since arguably he outplayed Dunta and is a pro bowlerGrimes also switched agents . CLEAR SIGN HE WANTS TO GET PAIDAlso - Julio Jones ???? Possibly no rookie pay scale to next year he going to get 45 millionPlus a possible DE . If not were going with Kroy again ? You might not want to think that is a consideration, but it is a big one. The Falcons aren't one of the better teams at generating income. Peyton
I did some research, and it was kind of surprising. Only two NFL owners are among the 500 richest people in the world.....Paul Allen (37) and Stephen Ross (277).Surprising
