Guest jb aka johnnybuc
Josh Freeman expects 45 teammates at Bucs minicampPosted by Michael David Smith on June 13, 2011, 5:19 PM EDTAPBuccaneers quarterback Josh Freeman is planning a three-day minicamp for the last weekend of June, and he wants all of his teammates to know he expects them to be there.“I don’t know about some of the free agents and rookies, but we’re hoping to have about 45 guys there,” Freeman told the Tampa Tribune. “We’re going to try to get everybody in and go over some scheme stuff and even install some stuff. I held on to some of my playbooks from the [regular] season and we’re putting together scripts and everything and just trying to get things back to normal as much as possible.”Freeman has been one of the most outspoken players in the league about the importance of getting together for offseason workouts. In April he said he was committed to keeping the Bucs’ momentum going from last season, and he got 100 percent participation from the offensive skill position players for the passing camps he hosted. Freeman even got center Jeff Faine on board, after Faineinitially said that he wouldn’t participate.Freeman has a playbook, and he kept practice scripts from last year that he plans to use to guide the Bucs’ minicamp. Although he’s only 23 years old, Freeman is acting like a veteran leader keeping his teammates focused on the task at hand.“We’re young and we’re hungry,” Freeman said. “And when the lockout ends it’s going to be a level playing field, but it’s also going to be about going out and getting wins and that’s the only thing that’s on this team’s mind.”
Guest jb aka johnnybuc
I think it's funny as heII that the BUCS, Falcons, Saints and Panthers have ALL gotten great participation from their players at these player organized OTA's while many teams are doing next to nothing! I see every team in the NFC South coming out way ahead of the rest of the teams in the league. Too bad we don't get to play the NFC West again! I don't think Seattle has had even one practice. Guest jb aka johnnybuc
I am excited to see what the Bucs do this season i think they beat out the Falcons for second in the southIf they can pick up where they left off I see the BUCS easily contending for the division title. But then again you never know. That's why they play the games, Contrary to what some Falcon fans believe. Just because you win 13 games and a #1 seed one season don't mean it's automatically gonna happen every season after that.

If they are going to top Atlanta, they're going to have to beat more than one team with a winning record.

Corsair
The Bucs are playing a big boy schedule this year. You understand that the Bucs and the Falcons had the same opponents last year, right?I'm pretty sure we both played the NFCW and AFCN last year. There were only two games with different opponents.
DD: Objective Elite
That goes without saying. You don't believe they can?I have to see what happens in FA and what the final rosters look like before I make a decision. I realize, Corsair's prediction is gospel, seeing as it not only has the Bucs making the playoffs(Wild Card) it blasts the Falcons at the same time.PURE GOLD!!!

There were only two games with different opponents.Atlanta played the Eagles and Packers...Tampa played Washington(I believe) and Detroit(loss)The Bucs beat 1 team with a winning record in the last 2 years, I'm quite sure there are several winning teams in the AFCS(Colts,Texans) and the NFCN(Packers, Bears, maybe Lions) Then you have to play the NFCS, minus the Panthers. So like I said, the Bucs are playing a big boy schedule this year, as are Atlanta. SyCo
Bucs schedule looks pretty doable to me. The first seven weeks they have two road games followed by a bye, from then on out, the only real contender they visit is green bay. Not saying they'll win all their home games just cause their at home, but they're bringing alot of momentum from last year, and they've got something to prove. I can easily see the bucs winning the division, and me banging my head through a wallI don't know about everyone else, but I abso-****-lutely hate the falcons schedule this year. I'll say this now, If the falcons want to prove themselves as legit contender, this is the season to take the division, with the schedule they have

I just hate we're having to fly to London again!Too bad none of us have the NFC West to pick on this season! Didn't we win every game played against that division last season? Well, Except for the Saints playoff game.
