Well holding occurs on almost every play, but that was pretty blatant. Did Mattie complete a pass of more than 10 yards on that play? I know they still lost the game if that was the last match up of last season.

I don't think that holding should be called unless the OL takes the DL to the ground or grabs him as demonstrated above. If they are face to face then the DL should fight him off. If the DL is good, freeing his body shouldn't be a tough task. That pic though, holding all day. Better yet, choking

The Saints' Pro Bowl guard has been flagged for an NFL-high eight holding calls this season. His 11 overall penalties are tied for the second most of any player in the league.

I'll keep him around.

In 6 post season games, the man hasn't given up 1 penalty or sack....EVER.

He's a beast and you know you'd be crapping in your pants if somehow the Falcons landed him.

So, here is a classic view of what Offensive Holding looks like.

Bear in mind, no penalty was called on this play by the ref.

IF THE REF DON'T CALL IT ... IT AIN'T HOLDING.

WHEN HE FLAGS YOU ... THEN IT'S HOLDING. IT'S

UP TO THE DEFENSIVE GUY TO PUT A STOP TO IT.

THERE ARE A LOT OF THINGS YOU CAN DO TO PUT A

STOP TO IT ... BUT YOU GOT TO BE MAN ENOUGH

TO DO IT. B)

A COUPLE OF WELL PLACED BLOWS TO THE HEAD,

AND AREAS BELOW THE BELT BUCKLE, WILL CHANGE

SOME THINGS. B)

and as you are doing it you say, "Let me see

if you can hold this sucker."

BUT WE WON 13 0F'EM BEFORE THAT.

I DON'T THINK YOUR TEAM CAN SAY THAT .....

CAN THEY?

I guess your right. The year before we did use the title Super Bowl Champion. How did that work out for your team?! :D

lolol

I'm 100% sure he's given up a penalty in 6 games.

Besides Justin Blalock hasn't allowed a sack in either playoff games during Ryans Tenure.

When this happens, normally a big play ensues.....just a typical reaction to an action.

Dollars to doughnuts, it wasn't even called on that play either, was it?
