How about answering my first question? How does one go about getting information about Aqib Talib's indictment other than from what they hear or read?

We don't.......but what you and I get usually proves to be false information...Law enforcement doesn't disclose all the info. surrounding a particular case, and that's a fact. Point is, we can't pass judgement until all the facts are made public, after a trial, or dismissal. You must be very young if you believe what you read and hear from news hacks.

That doesn't fly with the HOMERS! Especially Sally. If the accused player doesn't play for the Falcons than they're automatically guilty in her pointed little head.wink.gif

Do you REALLY think everything we have heard and read is SO fabricated that we shouldn't be able to have our own opinions?

He was simply pointing out how most intelligent folks wait until all the facts are in before passing judgement. That's what adults do.

You like to form opinions simply on how you feel without all the facts? That's cool. It's just not how open-minded adults operate.

Hopefully you never get called for Jury Duty.

Uh Oh! You're gonna have one PISSED OFF Right Winger here!laugh.gif

I'm not pissed off(I know that was directed toward me)

If Talib didn't shoot at the guy, he's innocent of that charge, it's as simple as that really.

If he did shoot at the guy as he ran away, I stand by what I have said all along, he needs to go to jail.

The one piece of evidence I took away from the police affidavit was that a shell casing was found in a neighbor's drive way, supporting the victims claim. Also, Talib getting caught in a couple of lies won't help his cause either.

I sure hope it's broadcast live on CourtTV, I'm curious to learn more about his mother.

Okay_wtf_reaction.gif?

If this had to do with a Falcon, you would passing judgement faster than you go down on your Josh Freeman blow up doll!

Sorry kid, That's not true. But if you believing that makes you feel better about being such a narrow-minded little twerp you go right ahead.rolleyes.gif

So you are saying you read the affidavit that I linked?

I mean, you want to form an intelligent opinion, right? Why not read the court documents?

If you read those, you might change your tune. There isn't a single person who "SAW" Aqib fire any gun.

I DON'T THINK ANYONE WANTS TO SEE AQIB IN JAIL,

AT LEAST I DON'T. FROM WHAT I'VE READ ABOUT THE

CASE, HIS SISTERS BOY-FRIEND WAS ASKING FOR IT.

And most likely, Aqib's mother gave it to him.

Just a few shots in the air to let him know

"Mom ain't playing."

Don't get me wrong, Rev. If he indeed fire a gun at this scumbag, he deserves to go to jail, and I hope he does... it might be the only chance to turn his life around. Screw football, this kid is going to end up dead if he doesn't get his act together.

But the truth is, he has a great lawyer, there is very little corroborated evidence, and the altercation happened during the lockout. Part of the negotiations for a new CBA will also cover whether the league's personal conduct policy can be enforced retro-actively for transgressions that happened during a lockout. This WILL be negotiated, because neither side will want to walk back into the courtroom to appeal a suspension immediately after leaving the courts with a signed CBA.

The players want Roger Goodell out of the Judge/Jury/Executioner role. They want an independent agency to levy fines and suspensions in order to stay more consistent. If the players get this concession, you could very well see Talib on the field in week 1.

Lot's of average folks could find themselves in a similar situation.....Dam glad I live on the peninsula....where we can stand our ground and not cut and run like the past.....Thank you NRA/Florida for providing concealed carry permits..........Crime is down............why? Thugs don't like armed citizens......they prefer gun confiscation.

I agree.

But lets be truthful. The right to own/carry concealed doesn't provide you with the right to pistol whip someone or fire at a fleeing person.

This isn't a home invasion, or robbery attempt. While the plaintiff probably deserved every bit of harsh treatment he received, it still isn't legal.

That said, the evidence won't convict him. He either pleas down to a misdemeanor assault while his mom absorbs the felony aggravated assault and prison time... or they take it to court intent on beating all the charges on Aqib's side, although more risky.

If he plea bargains the charges down and doesn't receive any discipline from the NFL, due to CBA concessions. I would like to think the Bucs organization, would take matters into their own hands and fine/suspend him.

I truly would want him cut if he played for the Falcons and he would be our second best defensive player(Abraham). I believe in second chances, not third, forth, etc.

I am the Inquisition after all.

Let me have it I ain't scared.

I've known around 20 some odd people that were murdered by the time I was 21. The number has sure to of gone up since then but I've removed myself from the circle of people I grew up with.

I'm not a gang banger just grew up on the rougher side of town.

I just think more guns out on the streets legal or otherwise are not the answer to reducing crime.

How do you feel about having a gun in your home?

Is that also not conducive to reducing crime?
