Aqib Talib indicted

Recommended Posts

There's a lot of cool folks over there. I, however do enjoy debating fellow football fans who happen to support other teams. In fact, most of my friends are fans of some other team.

My first post on this board was over in TATF and I thought I was gonna get banned, so . .

Thanks for the compliment though.

If he goes down he goes down.......won't be the first NFL dufus to wreck his life.

I'm more surprised that some of you boys challenge the pencilpusher the way you do....but keep it up, I enjoy watching him scatter your brains........

Why not?!?

PP is nothing but an attention whoring troll. Have you read his latest crap? Apparently, he has some inside info that no one in the MSM has. Not only was Roddy part of his cousin's crime spree, but the former cheerleader that just got busted is also Roddy's cousin, even though she's white.

How are you supposed to take his crap seriously?

There's no reason to be serious in RC.......

We never want to see that. The buccies need a BF like the Falcons have an FF. Although some players still fall through the cracks.

I DON'T CARE WHAT YOU DO ... MOST TEAMS WILL

HAVE TO DEAL WITH THIS KIND OF THING SOONER OR

LATER. IT IS A REFLECTION ON THE PLAYER, NOT

THE TEAM ..... THE TEAM MOVES ON.

You can't get your homers to believe that Rev. In their minds the Falcons are above reproach. If a player on another team within the division ****s up it's the team's fault, If it's a Falcons player it was simply a one time thing and will never happen again and how can you hold a team accountable with a humanitarian such as Artie Blank as owner?rolleyes.gif

Which Falcons player are you referring to? William Moore and his unpaid ticket? Roddy White and his criminal cousin? The former cheerleader that was stealing cars? The guy at Harry Douglas' party that was caught groping a woman? All that stuff has much to do with nothing.

Talib has been getting in trouble since his days at Kansas. Rookie Symposium fight, helmet attack, cabbie punch, cursing out an official in front of Goodell, the cheap shot on Roddy and this latest mess. Seriously, you don't see a pattern in his behavior? If you agree that there is a pattern, then are not the Bucs to shoulder some of the blame for drafting a high risk, low character player?

What do you think should happen to him if he plea bargains the charges down and doesn't go to jail? Should Goodell just turn a blind eye, because he's your best defensive player?

BTW,like it or not, Mr. Blank is quite the philanthropist.

Like I said, I believe you believe your team to be beyond reproach so why bother talking about this. You want to argue a point go back over to the Freeman's better than Ryan thread.

I believe whoever it is, whatever team they play for should pay for their crimes just as anyone else would but that's where you and I part ways in our thinking. For instance I personally believe marijuana should be legal and taxed. Just Waiting for another POTHEAD remark from you. I'll not get in a political discussion with you as I never talk politics or religion with anyone but my family, my stance on marijuana not withstanding.

Sorry, but where I come from and the way I was brought up people are allowed to have differing opinions.

The only thing I'm certain of here is................................I'M RIGHT!wink.gif

Fing Christ!!!

All I wanted to know is if you think Talib should be punished by the NFL/Bucs. I realize everyone has and is entitled to their opinions, that's why I was asking for yours. If I didn't respect your opinion, I wouldn't take this effort to get it.

As far as, the Falcons players being above reproach, would you like me to link the thread(s) were I stated Babs should have got a 4 game suspension and Moore should be suspended for 1 game by the Falcons for the embarrassing non-payment of a traffic ticket. Should I find my posts were I was going to burn all my Falcons gear and put it on Youtube, had Vick ever took the field in a Falcons uniform?

I don't care what you do or don't do. The Smokey references was in retaliation to you calling me, Torquemada and you know it.

So, you tell me why you're right?

THIS PROBLEM INVADING THE NFL IS NOT A "TEAM"

THING .... IT IS A "HUMAN" THING.

If he did in fact shoot at the guy, **** yes he should be punished. That's a silly question. The Bucs knew he was sketchy when they picked him.. Experiment over, let's all move on.

Depending on the circumstances, it is legal for a private citizen to shoot at someone in Texas. They amended the so called Castle Doctrine, and if Talib's lawyers can inject reasonable doubt into the prosecution's claims by saying he feared for his mom's or sister's life, he just might walk.

I can't tell you, because JB wouldn't answer my question.

I'll put it out there for the other RCers...

If Talib plea bargains the charges down, should he face discipline from the NFL/Bucs?

Absolutely!

I doubt that provision approves of shooting at someone as they are running away.

look....depending on what the guy did, I may not blame Talib for shooting at him even if it is running away

however, that wouldn't make me exempt from the consequences of my actions if they are against the law
