Tandy
AJC has reported that Ryan will be in this Sunday's countdown of the top 100 players of 2011 as voted on by current NFL players. That means he will fall between 51-60 in the ranks. They also said that he will be presented by Glanville - that should be cool as all get out!The NFL channel said there are a total of 12 Quarterbacks on the list. With Ryan being in this group - that means 5 have been chosen and there are 7 left - Who do you think it will be?Already Chosen#100 D. McNabb# 90 J. Flacco# 86 J. Freeman# 72 T. Romo# 52 M. RyanNow - the seven spots left - we know:1. T. Brady2. P. Manning3. A. Rodgers4. D. Brees5. B. RoethlisbergerSo - that leaves two spots for who? Take a pick:Philip RiversMatt SchaubJay Cutler *Mark Sanchez *Mike Vick *Matt Cassel *Eli Manning ++Matt Hasselbeck *++David GarrardJon KitnaKyle OrtonJason CampbellAlex SmithCarson PalmerRyan FitzpatrickJimmy ClausenDerek AndersonChad HenneKerry Collins* QBs who made the playoffs this past year have an asterisk ++ QBs who have been to the Superbowl
Guest Spot on Dtan2
Vick will be #1. Players around the league such as Ray Lewis have tremendous amounts of respect for his game.

Guest Spot on Dtan2
HOW DARE YOU. The boards need to be ridden of this type of filth. The conduct is going way down hill. Return of SWFT
dont know why you dont put Phillip Rivers up there he is top QBS in league ..it would be complete and utter horseshit list of Ryan is #51 and Rivers not on it..toss up between Eli Manning & Sanchez or Vick..I have no idea who the players like more but if I had to take a guess it would be Vick cause he is well liked around the league and feared by most and Eli gets a overrated tag and Sanchez is driven by what most people say is a great defense

We need to capitalize on his value before the rest of the league realizes that the king has no clothes.

I also believe he will be there.Just because you don't agree with the list, however, doesn't make it horse manure. The fact is - the way you or I view a player and the way other players who play against or with a player view them is different - and this list - is by the players for the players. What you or I think is irrelevant to a degree - except of course - for our opinion on who the players pick.

Can't say I believe you over them. And he's never coming back.

SyCo
Rivers and Vick sounds right. I like Orton, but he would be way lower than that.
kevykev21
I'd say they chose Rivers and Vick.
The_ATL
It's based on player votes and based on last season so year Vick and Rivers.
aerosmith67
This is a weird list because there was no set limit on number of players per position and we're talking about the top 6% of the leagues players. The funny part is since 94% of the league isn't on the list, everyone that made the list could be considered the NFL elite, which I know will drive some here nuts when it comes to how far Matt Ryan and Joe Flacco have come in 3 seasons. I don't know if Rivers makes the list simply because of his attitude, there are plenty of guys in the AFC that don't like the guy. Not being popular may skew this countdown. blizzard_falcon
It's got to be Rivers and Vick, but I'm extremely confused/disappointed that McNabb and Romo made it in over Schaub.
Power I
It's based on player votes and based on last season so year Vick and Rivers.I don't think there should be really any debate, those are the only two that fit.

Not being popular may skew this countdown.I know that we should all be proud that in the top 6% of the NFL active players, 5 of our Falcons have been chosen. That is truly amazing. I mean - think about it - there are 32 teams and 100 players. That is an average of 3.1 players per team - and we have 5. Pretty awesome.I'm also surprised that no one has mentioned Eli Manning. He has a 60-44 record (57.7%), has 4 playoff wins - which around this board -seems to be the only thing that matters - and took his team to the Super Bowl and knocked off a 17-0 team to bring home the Lombardi. Now, maybe he doesn't belong on the list - but I'm still surprised no one has mentioned him.As for me - I'd go with Rivers and Vick for the 2 left - but it's still quite odd to see the list that is left and to wonder who gets "slighted". You'd think he'd be higher with all that he brought to the sport.
