falconmaniac
With a couple of threads out there about Snelling possibly (probably) leaving....name 5 (or as many as you can) teams where you think he could actually go and start or play a bigger role than our Atlanta Falcons with your reasons why.GO
Sun Tzu 7
I could only come up with 4.BroncosRedskinsCardinalsDolphinsI could see him starting for the above teams because I don't recall anybody on their current roster that would be clearly a better option than Snelling.... and by 'starting' I mean splitting time with another RB/FB but starting the game.Snelling gives a team options since he can play both RB and FB. whitekb011
Seahawks, New England, Giants, RedskinsThat's all I could think of that would be intrested, actually starting, don't know about. I really like snelling, but I view him more of a Kevin Faulk type of back, only bigger, and a stronger runner. Not as punishing as a Turner or Bettis and does not have the speed needed to be a starter. What Snelling does have that very few backs in the league have, you can put him in any down and distance situation, from running the ball, blocking, and catching the ball out of the backfield.Having said this, I believe our 3 RB's will be Turner, Rogers, and Snelling. Snelling could be the back up Full back as well. He is very versitile and adds a lot of value to the Falcons. he is also very dependable. Twoism
Bengals, Vikings, Rams, Titans, and Steelers/Patriots.I don't think he could start anywhere right now. But, he could definitely make a bigger impact on those teams as the #2 guy. That being said - I still want him on our team. EDIT: I want to highlight Tennessee because he would be a great compliment to Johnson! Edited May 25, 2011 by Twoism

I might throw the Giants in there to.His ability to play RB and FB are important. That is why I hop we can keep him somehow.

They also drafted Ryan Williams in the 2nd round and I could see him starting for them. Add in Green Bay because who knows how Grant will come back and Brandon Jackson wants to be a starter there or somewhere else.

jddurden
What about Indy? They havent had a good back since Edge left. They drafted Donald Brown and have Joseph Addai but they're not tearing it up.
Radical
Denver Broncos: Unless they really like Knowshon Moreno, who has been pretty average so farGreen Bay Packers: Unless they still want to stick it out with Ryan GrantDetroit Lions: They really have nothing outside Jahvid Best... and he's really mehCincinnati Bengals: Jason Snelling is better than any running back on the team, easilyMiami Dolphins: Both Brown and Williams are UFA, and they could use a younger RBWashington Redskins: Unless they really like Ryan Torrain, Snelling's versatility would fit in perfectly thereHe's not going to be a lone, feature back anywhere. Those are rare in this league, and he's not one of them. He's a good power runner, can catch the ball, can pick up yards after contact, play FB, and is a special teams maven. It's tough to really peg a great fit, because RBs just aren't that valuable any more.

#1 pick
Snelling is being overrated right now on here. I don't think he will start outside of the Redskins.
jddurden
They aren't tearing it up because they don't need to: Even a better reason. Snelling has great hands out of the backfield.

falconmaniac
OR........He goes to San Diego where they only have Ryan Mathews.Kind of like Turner comming to us!
falconmaniac
The OP went further to ask "or play a bigger role than our Atlanta Falcons".Exactly! Teams where he would get much more play time.I really think our 1 - 2 punch will be Turner and Quiz which will not leave alot of time for Snelling. KSFALCON
Do the EAGLES have a #2 guy behind LeSean McCoy? That is a good, young pairingSnelling's role in ATL was the guy to catch out of the backfield and fill in if Turner gets hurt...Quizz is our screen and checkdown RB now, but he is still a nice asset if Turner were to some how get injuried like he did in 09 for a lil
