Good Things Thread

Alright, we've all been pisssing on each other for the better part of the offseason. So it's time to MAN UP and discuss the good things opposing teams are doing or have going them.

YOU CANNOT DISCUSS YOUR TEAM.

YOU CANNOT QUALIFY YOUR STATEMENTS WITH "BUT" or "HOWEVER". STAY POSITIVE.

Falcons

Love the power running game when it's on. When working as designed, the Falcons are hard to beat.

Julio Jones .... Really like the player's potential, should turn out to be a playmaker.

Bucs

The defense is going to be a force for years to come. LOVED the picks used to get Foster and Bowers. Both could develop into bigtime players for moderate cap hits.

Josh Freeman, if he continues to grow into his game, will be a force in the league. Big arm and athletic ability off the charts.

Panthers

The Linebackers as a group as tremendous. I'd love to cherrypick a player or two from this group.

Cam Newton should be a force if he grasps the game at the NFL level.

Cowboys

D. Ware.....D. Ware....D Ware.... Wow.

Dez Bryant upside in Year 2 could prove to be huge.

but.... :P

Falcons> I was never a fan but I enjoyed watching them during the Bartkowski era. I lived in Ga with no cable and they were often the game shown, and they did entertain me.

Redskins>Always an entertaining game when they play my team which cannot be named. One of the greatest rivalries in the NFL.

Philly> always seem to have one or two game breaking players.

Gaints> a storied franchise with a lot of great players and history.

Saints> For all the jokes I have made about the bagheads, they do have a loyal fandom and have rewarded it with the lombardi.

Tampa Bay Another long suffering fanbase that stuck to it and were finally rewarded and I believe are no longer under the Dolphins massive shadow. I believe they are on the edge of a nice run.

Falcons: wish we had their running game. another team that had to rebuild from devastating off field events

Tampa Bay: their front office is doing a great job in evaluating and drafting players. good, young team

Carolina: not nearly as bad as people think. they were probably the most injured team overall last year. good defense and a good running game will always keep you competitive

Dallas: meh...I hate those bastids.

just kidding. I think Jason Garrett is going to build some chemistry with that team and that will be scary

Saints: I can only dream of the Falcons airing it out with the same success that Brees and Company have enjoyed.

Bucs: Time is on their side. They are quickly gathering a core group of heady young players. Even though I doubted the hire of Raheem Morris at first, he actually looks like the right man for the job at this time for the Bucs.

Cowboys: Sticking with the coach theme for a second, hiring Garrett for head coach was absolutely the right thing to do. He brings a level of seriousness and responsibility that that roster needed. Wade Phillips just wouldn't hold guys feet to the fire. I don't see that being a problem anymore with Garrett.

Panthers: I like their uniform(s) and logo.

Falcons:

Good run game/Oline,WR,TE. A lot of potential to be better than they were last season.

Saints:

Great Qb, Oline. Payton and company know how to select WRs. It seems like most of their WR corp have the ability to be a 1.2k+ WR.

Bucs:

Good qb, good young rb and a defense that will improve with more experience.

Skins:

potential to have a great defense.

Boys:

I like Romo. I like when undrafted players get a chance and they end up making a big impact.

Bucs - promising young QB and RB

Panthers - two great Rbs

Saints - Drafted a very good RB and looks like they may have improved on their DLine

Cowboys - they took Keith Brooking off of our hands. Plus DWare is a breast

Kinda telling only one Falcons fan has posted in this thread and even he had to go negative.

Saints- The best passing offense in the NFC, with Brees having multiple 1000 yard receivers and Bush out of the back field, it's a pick your poison offense.

I love their aggressive mindset on defense, they utilize the players they have on defense. The defense feeds off of Brees' success on offense(forced turnovers)

They have the best offensive play calling head coach in the NFL. Great never say die fan-base. Kick azz tailgates and food.

Bucs- Probably the team with the most upside of any team in the entire NFL. In a few short seasons they have found their HC, 'Rockstar' GM, franchise QB, #1 WR, Pro-Bowl TE, solid #2 WR and starting RB. They did all this while drafting heavily on the defensive side of the ball. If some pieces come together quickly for them, this might be a defense like they had during the Dungy days.

Morris has instilled a new culture with the Bucs ownership, players and fan base. He realizes his players are young and will only grow and improve.

Panthers- Cam Newton has off the chart athleticism and ability. They still have two of the better RBs in the NFL. They have an above average defense, that got a raw deal last year due to the offensive woes.

The new coach is a motivator, that should light some fires if/when TC starts.

New Orleans

Considered one of the top offenses in the league. Maybe the leagues best pure passer. A HC who plays an exciting brand of offense. A community that has a strong bond with the team.

Atlanta

Young and talented QB, who looks to be a long term starter for many years. Outstanding GM and Owner. HOF tight end. Has done a successful rebuild to not only their players and coaches, but also their image.

Carolina

They get to look forward to nothing but optimism, they WILL improve. Still have a potent running game, especially if DW stays. Once Rivera gets this team up to speed, he could coach them into something special. Lucky enough to build a team around a QB. (Trust me, its a huge advantage. Until you have that piece to build around, everything else on offense is just patchwork)

Dallas

Maybe the single most competitive and intelligent owner in the history of Football. Once again, successful because they have their QB to build around. New HC will have the luxury of everything he could ever want or need to build his team, even though the team doesn't need many pieces. Unbelievable stadium if you can attend. It's still on my list.

Saints: Finally broke through with the addition of Sean Payton & Drew Brees. I'd say the best offense in the league when they have a running back. Defense is very good but nothing particularly special but easily good enough to win consistently and get to the Big Game.

Falcons: Consistancy, that's what I think of when talking about the Falcons. Well coached with a very good running game and a very good quarterback for the offense they run, I believe Ryan can and will do very well as long as the talent level around him is kept at a high level as it is now. Defensively, Abraham is getting kind of long in the tooth but if they shore up their line they should have no problems being a top 10 defense with Grimes helping in their backfield.

Panthers: Always a top running game and have a QB with a whole lotta upside! I believe the second youngest team in the league which may keep them from reaching the playoffs anytime soon.

Cowboys: Very talented team with one of the best defensive players in the league in DeMarcus Ware. Romo's hot & cold but when he's hot he's real hot. Jason Garrett proved just what a great coach he was last season by taking Wade Phillips abortion of a coaching job and turning the team 180 degrees. Cowboys real problem is their owner.

Redskins: Worst owner in the league, Bad head coach. Sorry, but I can't find anything good to say about this team!

Eagles: Will go as far as Vick allows them to.

afcans,

Besides completely sidetracking the thread for a number of posts, which was NOT ALLOWED IN THIS THREAD, do you have any input regarding the topic?

I know many of us would like to hear your football thoughts.
