Blank's Consigliere
Pretty incredible when you think about it. I think pretty much everyone agrees Ryan is a good QB, but I dont think a lot of people get just how good Ryan has been. Not many QBs hit the ground running right off the bat like Ryan. A lot of credit is due to the F.O. for building a good team around him, but I think as far as impact on a team, Ryan has been pretty underrated.A quarterback can be a good QB during the regular season, but he has to be exceptional in the playoffs. In Ryan's first three years, its his playoff performance that has added critics to his play. The performance of the Defense in both playoff losses has been key. He's got to show that he can overcome his defense's deficiency. Then he'll be up there with the legends.

Abe
He is great. I always feel like we will win if he gets the ball last. He has had some bad games but I have watched much worse from some of the best ever.... Oh and as for toughness, this guy is tough as nails. It's his 4th year coming up and I expect him to be top 5 even with the labor uncertainty.
DavyDmx
We are blessed to have a quarterback of Matt's caliber playing for us. His only shortcoming is no playoff wins which will be rectified in the years to come.
Guest Hella Screens
what else does a guy have to do to earn respect in professional sports?i guess that answer is win a measly playoff game according to a lot of these MB pundits. What's measly about a playoff game? Lol, you must really be a homer. Take of the goggles and realize that he's been terrible in the playoffs. That's the problem with half of this fanbase, they settle for what we have now because we have done alright lately and don't expect more from the team. Meanwhile, the fans that do ask for more are called trolls for being realists. Edited May 30, 2011 by Hella Screens

BleedBlack&Red
In fairness to the QBs on the first list that had to sit behind another starter or had injuries to deal with, here is a snapshot of the first three years of the best NFL QBs of this era that had at least 30 starts and 1,000 pass attempts in their first three seasons. Brees missed the cut with 27 starts but his numbers were dismal:FIRST THREE NFL SEASONS WITH AT LEAST 30 STARTS AND 1,000 PASS ATTEMPTSStartsPManning - 48Flacco - 48Ryan - 46Roethlisberger - 40EManning - 39Brady - 30Regular Season Winning%Roethlisberger - .725Ryan - .717Brady - .667Flacco - .667PManning - .542EManning - .513Playoff Winning%Brady - 1.000Roethlisberger - .833Flacco - .571Ryan - .000PManning - .000EManning - .000Fourth Quarter Come BacksPManning - 9Roethlisberger - 9Ryan - 8Brady - 6EManning - 4Flacco - 4Game Winning DrivesRyan - 13PManning - 11Roethlisberger - 11Brady - 8Flacco - 8EManning - 5Passer RatingRoethlisberger - 87.9Flacco - 87.9Ryan - 86.9Brady - 85.9PManning - 85.4EManning - 73.2Passing YardsPManning - 12,287Flacco - 10,206Ryan - 10,061Roethlisberger - 8,519EManning - 8,049Brady - 6,613Completion%Brady - 63%Roethlisberger - 62%Flacco - 62%Ryan - 61%PManning - 60%EManning - 54%Passing TDsPManning - 85Ryan - 66Flacco - 60EManning - 54Roethlisberger - 52Brady - 46Interception%Ryan - 2.3Flacco - 2.4Brady 2.6EManning - 3.4PManning - 3.5Roethlisberger - 4.2Pro BowlsPManning - 2Ryan - 1Brady - 1Roethlisberger - 0EManning - 0Flacco - 0I really didn't think about these stats haha look at "Bert" he did very well. Are they playing QB for the Falcons? You're defending his mediocrity by bringing up other player's poor performances? I'm not saying he will always be a terrible playoff QB. I'm saying he has been terrible so far in his career.Also I wouldn't put all the weight in the world on that list cause just off the top of my head I can realize that Rodgers, despite his loss, had a great f*cking game in his playoff debut, Brees didn't even play in the playoffs his first three seaons, and Matt Schaub has never even been to the playoffs.I can't believe some people think it's nearly forbidden to be critical of our own players. In the end we all want the team to win but stop acting like he didn't stink up the joint last january (and yes I realize the defense is to be held accountable for that loss too)

Relax.I'm not even mad or taking it that seriously, if anything, I'm just annoyed of having to listen to fans that blindly defend anything that happens in this organization. Matt Ryan has NO flaws. TD can make the worst draft day decision ever and the homers on here will still say "Oh well, TD did it so it's a GREAT move! In TD we trust!!!".And don't even get me started with the unrealistically high hopes some have for players like Kerry Meier. What happened to Troll Quality Control? How am I a troll? I'm just stating my opinion. I love when someone questions my fanhood just because I have a more realistic outlook on our team. Unlike others, I don't think Ryan in the next coming of Marino. H3ll, I think I would agree with Cris Collinsworth in that I'd rather have Freeman over Ryan. I'm tired of people making excuses for our playoff exits, defending every decision cause TD did it and he is a "genius" , and overhyping bums like Meier who haven't even stepped on the field yet (I've heard people say he will be the next Wes Welker).People should be mad as **** at this team until they prove they can win a playoff game. But that's alright, y'all keep drinking that Kool-aid and settling for mediocrity. And yes, we can win 13,14, or 15 games, i dont care...until we win a playoff game I will continue to describe our team's play as mediocre. It's time people start holding this team to a higher standard and stop making excuses. Edited May 31, 2011 by Hella Screens

Dude is so infaturated with swift . He also loves being the defender of all trolls. He must wear that badge proud . This is same dude who wrote a 14 page love letter to peeps about how he is sick of this message board and he is leaving for good . Same guy came back a month later . Now who is the one looking for attention? Also same dude who wrote a article on bleecher report about These Falcons might be the old Falcons after playoff lossProblem with Gritz is he is stuck between a rock and a hard place . He wants to be looked upon as the masses as a good poster so he vigoursly defends against trolls of this place . You know Gritz he will same something about a troll put a analogy in it and some will laugh but On the other end he wants to criticize the Falcons but he feels if he does so people will start to look at him in a negative light where past couple of years he has built up this online reputation of a good poster . Whether you're on your 5th iteration, you're 50th or your 500th, he's not coming back:Blank: Vick “will not be playing for us”By LARRY HARTSTEINThe Atlanta Journal-ConstitutionWednesday, May 20, 2009"As Michael Vick left federal prison in Kansas for home confinement in Virginia Wednesday, Falcons owner Arthur Blank reiterated that the former face of the franchise won’t play for the team again.“As Michael nears the completion of his sentence, I wish the best for him and his family,” Blank said in a statement. “It is my sincere hope that he has learned from his mistakes and will move forward in a productive and positive manner.“The Falcons maintain Michael’s contractual rights for now, but he will not be playing for us in the future. In the event NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell decides to reinstate Michael to the NFL, we feel his best opportunity to re-engage his football career would be at another club.“From a personal standpoint, I will continue to be supportive of Michael in any way that would be positive, constructive and helpful.”Vick is currently suspended by the NFL. Goodell says Vick could gain re-instatement only if he shows genuine remorse and demonstrates he can be a positive influence. The Falcons are trying to trade Vick’s rights, but so far there has been little interest. "In case you weren't paying attention, reiterated means he has said it repeatedly.
