Your Teams Weaknesses

My Team = Saints

Weaknesses in order as I view them:

Defense

1. OLB - Shanle is solid, but far from spectacular. He needs to be pushed.

2. S - Harper is tremendous in run support, but he isn't fast enough in deep pass coverage.

3. DT - It is likely this was addressed with the Rodgers signing, but it needs to be proven.

Offense

1. - RT - Stinchcomb needs to rebound after last year. His play fell off.

2. - RB - We need a primary bruiser between the tackles. Ingram will likely fill this role.

3. - Reggie Bush, like him or hate him, he makes things happen and opens the offense up, with or without the ball. Hope he resigns.

4. WR - Colston is coming off microfracture surgery. He needs to be 100%. He claims he is.

Defense:

1. DT- Both McCoy & Price coming back from surgery.

2. DE- Both Clabourne & Bowers are Rookies

3. CB- If Talib's gone either Bigger, Mack or Lewis will have to step up.

4. MLB- If Rudd leaves we'll have ANOTHER rookie starting in Mason Foster

Offense:

1.Offensive line as a whole_ Other than Penn @ LT we don't have a bonafide starter other than Joseph and he may be gone.

Not a good situation but I feel good about Penn and the young guys we have Larsen, etc. are pretty good.

I believe due to all the youth on our defense we could take a step back this season but what I see taking place here is pretty awesome. You can just see the way they're building this team. You can see there's a plan in place and they're sticking to it.

This one's easy:

DEFENSE:

1.) No consistent line pressure outside of Abraham. While Biermann has shown some promise it hasn't translated to actual sacks yet. This is waaaaaay more than just a little problem now. It's something that is a glaring weakness.

2.) Shaky corner play-Dunta Robinson was definitely an upgrade over Chris Houston, but Stephen Hawking would have been also. Grimes, while incredibly athletic, still gets abused by the NFL's larger receivers.

3.) Linebackers aren't great in coverage. Good run stuffers but pass plays in the flats and slants kill us.

If #1 got better then #2 would get better.

OFFENSE

1.) No consistent big play or breakaway threat. Whether it's scheme or personnel or a combination of the two (I suspect that's more likely.)

2.) Ryan's deep ball.....Needs a great deal of work. I don't know if he needs more time in the weight room or more reps with our WR corps but it's kinda sad to see on those rare occasions when Mularkey calls the go or fly routes.

3.) Spotty pass protection...O-line is good at run blocking but leaks like a sieve when trying to form a pocket. McClure is like a turnstile in pass protection. We get killed up the middle.

There are other things but these stand out to me.

In this order:

DE - We have none that are proven.

DB - Need help whether Talib is gone or not

RB - I find it difficult to see Blount repeating last year's success

LB - MLB specifically. The great white dope needs replaced. He's horrible.

WR - Teams will double Williams this coming season. No faith in the rest.

I disagree with you there.

I know he has a straight up running style that a lot of people don't like, but I believe you guys got a big steal when you got Blount. I think he's going to be good for a while.

#1 DE

we need another Pass Rush specialist to really take the next step

#2 Safety

W Moore is a Beast, not sold on Decoud and if 1 of those guy goes down, we are in Trouble

#3 O Line

with 3 FAs on our line, this may become the main concern if we lose more than 1

#4 RB

if Snell goes, we need another back, Turner had too many carries last yr like he did in 08 , he needs a Snell type guy to help carry the load

#5 OLB

we need depth here, Nic is probably gone, they want Pete back

its really hard to say atm, we dont know who is coming back and who will be signed as a FA

pass rush, pass rush, pass rush

By both the Dline and blitzers.

I have made the joke a few times, we need to high a geometry coach because some of the angles we took on blitzes were terrible.

On offense the one dimensionalness ( is that even a word?.... if not it is now)

Not to much of being just a running team or just a passing team but we came at you one way. We did not have that change of pace back the guy who was a threat both running and receiving or that guy who could stretch it vertically (that's what she said).

That's the whole thing in a nutshell right there Shred.....

Until these buttwipes get this CBA worked out trying to guess what your team is going to be is like Stevie Wonder playing darts.....could be all over the ******* place.

I don't agree re: the wide receivers. Williams wasn't getting doubled by the last half of the season last year? Of course he was and Benn may actually end up being better than Williams.

I too am a bit apprehensive about Blount but for mr that comes from the fact that he really only has a 10 game resume to go by.

Raheem seems to like Rudd. I think if we got better up front at the tackle spot Rudd wouldn't look so soft against the run and if he does end up leaving Raheem and the rest of the coaching staff are going bull$hit over Mason Foster.

If we're gonna make any noise at all this season it'll be because or defense was able to gel quickly. The lockout is really hurting us compared to the Saints & Falcons!

Bucs are in alotttttttttttt better shape than Most teams tho

Franchise QB

all your Coaches Returning

all your Player Leadership pretty much returning

these first yr Coaches with unproven QBs are in very very Bad Shape with no OTAs or even Contact between Players and Coaches IMO

It's hurting everyone....

We could lose the entire right side of our starting O-line.....

I'm really getting sick of this whole thing. I'm tired of hearing ******* lawyers talk about the sport I love the most. I want to be talking about signing a FA or two, getting our drafted kids in here and signed....

Instead I'm treated to dooshes like DeMaurice Smith and the clinically brain dead Jerry Richardson.....

i think you guys are in better shape than you think with Clayborn, Bowers and Foster. Them combined with last years draft class of D talent shows huge promise.

Offense:

1)both tackles. Stichcomb is overrated and I am hoping Brown is ready to take over for Bushrod

I disagree with the RB assessment because we have the same guys who were successful in our SB run. We just got bit by the injury bug like nothing I have ever seen before.

Defense:

1)DT. hopefully Rogers has filled this, but he has yet to play a snap for us

2)LDE. Alex Brown was MIA last season

3)SLB. Shanle just doesn't have enough athleticism

Ya wonder if these fools have any idea of what they're doing to the game we all love. Goodell has his fingerprints all over this too!

If they cancel so much as a preseason game they should can his sorry a$$! He's by far and away the worst commissioner so far! Rozelle made this into the greatest game in the world and Tagliubue took the torch from him and treated the game with the Sanctity that it deserves. Then Goodell comes in trying to continually throw his weight around without so much as a thought for the traditions, the players or the fans! Pretty much doing nothing more than to suck up to the more powerful owners whose only real loyalty is to their own wallets.

It's pretty disgusting! angry.gif

I agree with ya 100% on this.

Goodell's legacy so far is as a hard azz on the fines and suspensions, but will be this labor situation if it doesn't get resolved soon.

He's in way over his head.

That is when you hope you have good enough leadership on the field to show the rookies whats going on.

The positive thing for 3 of the 4 teams in the south, is with the saints, falcons and bucs, we all have the same OC and DCs coming back, so the differences should be minor.

So that should allow the vets to give the rookies at least most of an idea of what the system is.

You can bet Brees , Thomas, Colston etc are getting Ingram up to speed as much as possible, Just as Ryan, Gonzo, White etc is doing with Jones.

And I am sure the guys on the bucs are doing same for Bowers and Claborn.

But it's not the same as the real deal. I agree that Carolina will really be behind the 8-ball with all their newness.

I haven't been a fan of Goodell since he took the position. I think he has backed himself in a corner in many ways regarding how he doles out punishment, fines, and this labor situation.

As much as I dislike McKay and how overrated he was at talent evaluation. I just wonder if he wouldn't have been a much better man for the position of Commissioner. I was all for Goodell when they voted him in seeing as he had worked closely with Tags before he retired but he's turned into a heavy handed numbskull the last couple of years and will without a doubt be remembered as the worst commissioner ever in the Modern Day NFL.

Sure its not the same but it does give some hope that if there is a season.

I said it in another thread but Carolina may set a record for futility if there is a season.

I think Goodell's heart is in the right place but I think he got too concerned about his legacy rather then the good of the league imo.

#1 - Safety: Never thought the Cowboys would miss Ken Hamlin as much as they did, but Alan Ball made most Cowboy fans miss him out there.

#2 - Pass Rush: Demarcus Ware lead the league in sacks with 15.5 and received No help second on the team was Anthony Spencer at 5.5. With a guy like D Ware receiving all that attention the opportunity was there for others to step up.

#3 - Left Offensive line: Both Leonard Davis and Marc Colombo showed signs of age and lack of athletic ability. Even though the team racked up huge yards and points this was a glaring weakness giving way at the worst times in games.

#4 - Running Back: A position considered a strength coming in to the season proved to be overrated with the lack of big play ability.I see Barber and Choice in other uniforms next season.

#5 - FG kicker: Missed Field Goals cost games and field position. Dam you David Buehler and your erratic kicks.

Those are the Dallas Cowboys weaknesses as i see them.

Pretty much agree here. I think Rob Ryan will cure that D tho. He has said he will attack the QB non stop, and they have to get the secondary fixed for that to happen. No way is Jenkins as bad as he was last year, but TNewman is getting old and banged up.

Sean Lee is going to thrive under Ryan and if Bruce Carter heals, he will be a steal in this draft.

Would love to see Choice stay around and Felix to stay healthy. I think Barber is gone and a new team may do him good. I wish him well except against Dallas.

I think once Tyron Smith gets used to the NFL, it will go a long way helping the run game. Dallas has just ignored the O line for too long.I don't keep up with college FB like I used to so I plead my ignorance on Demarco Murray, but the more I read up, the more I like lOVE the pick. It's time for a fresh face at RB.and one with great hands out of the backfield is perfect for Dallas.

I think Beuhler is a great athlete and great kicker, but not for field goals and dallas NEEDS a full time FG kicker.
