Not a fan of this. You don't guarantee wins. Especially against a rival that has the potential to stomp your *** into the ground. If he were guaranteeing a win against Vandy, which you still shouldn't do, then maybe I could understand. UF looks to be way down this year and thats a big fat crow that he just stuck in the oven. Hope it tastes good.

This only makes beating them next year that much sweeter!

However, I don't really think this is that big of a deal. He was speaking to the Gator club, what else is he going to say? I'd expect Richt to say the same thing at his speeches to the Bulldog club if asked if he'd beat UF.

Yeah he is a young new coach trying to win the support and confidence of a pretty demanding fan base. I wouldn't expect him to say anything less, as long as he doesn't go all kiffin on everyone I don't really have a problem with it. With that being said I'm gonna be some kinda happy when we whoop their *** this year.

last year uga couldn't beat Florida's worst team since the 80s

Was it not one of ours as well? That is what I love about Football some guys believe the garbage written.

Things cycle in College Football, old enough to well remember Georgia's dominance.

It will cycle around again, and it could begin this season.

After Tressel was hire he guaranteed a victory over Michigan next year and he than commenced to beat us 8 out of 9 years following the guarantee. Everyone thought Tressel was crazy when he made that guarantee.

Everyone thought he was crazy because the coach Tressel replaced only managed to beat Michigan like twice in 13 seasons. Michigan owned OSU before Tressel arrived. It's a different situation between UF and UGA.

UF and UGA both had down seasons, yet the game went to overtime for the first time in the series' history. UGA lost some considerable talent from the starting ranks, but UF's losses have possibly been more damaging. Not to mention year one in a drastically different offensive system with not a single proven QB on the roster.

It's something he's supposed to say to the people he said it to, but it's strange as fans to see him so sure of himself given the anything-but-solid situation with the Gators football team at almost any given position.
