raysnill1
I think he could be had for cheap considering he has a reputation for being injury prone. since the Ravens have moved on and locked up Oher at LT, they probably don't have any room for him anymore. if he passes a physical and gets cleared by a doctor, I would give him a shot cause 100% he's one of the better LTs in the biz. what yall think

Its pretty hard to be a serviceable LT when you are eating dirt most of the time...
Borat
Baker (ironically) gets beaten like a red-headed stepchild. Gaither would be a huge upgrade

d#d#d#
I wonder if we can't resign Clabo but we do get Gaither, if we would move Baker over?Im really hoping the FO re sign Clabo. We could play Gaither at LT, kick Baker inside(probably wont be able to handle good DT's though) and have Clabo at RT. That would allow us to let go Dahl and also let Blalock test FA. We have enough talent on our depth chart, but we need a reliable left tackle thats isnt on his azz every 2nd play.I actually like the talent we have on our OL, its just i hate the situation we have at LT... Borat
I love our whole line other than the bearded ginger. Ideally, we'd keep all except for Dahl, bring in Gaither, and trade/cut/sit Baker

We'd be able to see Abe bullrush him into the QB every 3 snaps lol
Borat
Yeah I 'd package him with a 3rd round pick and give him to any team in the division with the agreement that he has to play both games against us every year for the next five years :-)

I kinda like Svitek and I don't really trust getting a full season out of Gaither lol. if I could get something for Baker, I'd trade. Has nice feet for his size too. Baker could be a very useful backup as he wont get as banged up. When healthy, he isnt a liability, but he is ALWAYS carrying some type of niggle... FlyHighFalcons
Sign Gaither to be our LT, retain Clabo, let Dahl go (Johnson replaces him), resign Blalock. Deal Baker to Detroit for Tony Scheffler to be our TE after TG leaves.

miKevicK777
from what i hear, ravens arent going to sign him because of his injurieshes a starter no dobut when healthy, but i think its a poor idea of counting on an innjury prone guy to ur starteri think worse teams should take a chance cause they dont have much to lose and much to gain, but id only want gaither if we had a good backup strategy if gaither got injured. For example, if we think one of the younger guys can be a solid starter, then if gatiher does get injured, it wouldnt be such a big blow. Raven Fan
As this is my first post, just to make it clear, I am a Ravens fan, but I'm not here to talk any smack. I do have an article worth debating over though. With regards to Gaither, I would prefer the Ravens make the effort to re-sign the guy. When healthy the guy is a great LT, truly one of the best. If he's willing to accept a low-cost, incentive based deal like the OP suggested then I think the odds of him staying in Baltimore are much more favorable. Because Rosenhaus is his rep, I think he's most likely to land with a team with a desperate need for him and earn a lot of $.

We should not have a look!!! We sign him, put him on a jet! Buy him a new house! Take him to Hibachi Brill Buffet! You don't have a look at Gaither no more than to smile and give him the signing pen period!
