That is true, then why all the fuss about our draft this year then? We won't know if the JJ pick for 'ALL' the draft picks to cleveland will be beneficial for the Falcons or the browns...

well if anything this just goes to show that the rivals in here are correct in the assessment of that trade. Not a good decision because too much was given up for JJ

SO far the Browns are doing with our picks what the Reskins did with the Saitns entire draft.

Wasting it, they drafted a 3-4 NT to play in a 4-3, then they drafted the biggest diva in college in Greg Little.

They traded away the 4th.

WFW who says you can't grade the 2010 draft class yet?

Or Zodiac who says the Browns "wasted" the 2010 draft picks obtained in the trade?

Just lookig at the perspective, Phil Taylor is not a 4-3 Guy at all. He's def a 3-4 Guy, So I don't understand that pick at all.

Greg Little has so many Red Flags it isn't funny, and their is no veteran leadership in that lockerroom except for maybe Josh Cribbs.

You know that is a ridiculous thing to say Dago. I don't think you even believed it when you were typing it! Three or four year down the road maybe you have grounds to stand on but right now it is just fool-hearty!

Scott Fujita is a locker room leader in a big way.

From what i've heard and saw no one was really a voice in the locker-room of the Brownslast year except for Cribbs, maybe Fujita was in NOLA, but it takes guys a while to transition in locker-room leaders on new teams, unless they're really bonafide superstars, which Fujita isn't.

from what I have seen, Fujita became a good influence and locker room leader very quickly although we probably got more news on him than most because he was so well liked by Saints fans.

Everything i've searched through so far, is showing that Cribbs was really the only one who was willing to try to hold the team together throught he plethora of QB changes last year.

Only way it would be worth it IMO is if Jones turns out to at least be a solid starter and all those picks the Falcons gave up would have been used to draft guys that never could break the starting lineups. So we'll really never know if they "won" or "lost" on this trade... unless of course Jones turns into a bust.

But then again I've always been against teams drafting WRs high... Great QBs can make average WRs look good. You don't need great WRs to compete. You just need a number of solid guys at WR, TE, and RB. Look at Larry Fitzgerald, Andre Johnson, and Calvin Johnson for proof. Those teams have done nothing except when Kurt Warner played for Arizona.

I was against the Saints drafting Meachem in 2007, Cowboys taking Dez in 2010, and even the Lions taking Calvin Johnson in 2007. Dez and Meachem I didn't believe would ever be worthy of first round picks.

Calvin I thought would be a beast, but I thought Adrian Peterson would have been better for that team (and many analysts argued for them to take Joe Thomas). For the record I was also against them taking Roy Williams in 2004 (primarily because I didn't think he was first round worthy), and thought they would take Jammal Brown in 2005 when they took Mike Williams. The list goes on... I rarely consider a WR going in the first round to any team as a good pick. I feel it's worse than most teams/fans think of taking a RB in the first today.

I watched him in practice and in games for his entire college career and nothing was ever even said about anything off the field til he went to an agents party in Miami. Stop downing others to make your point seem stronger. Using that as a justification to say we didn't give up too much for Julio cause the Browns picked Greg Little who has a ton of red flags (which is untrue) is ******* stupid.

And i'm a Falcons fan.

However i do like to see Matt Ryan at the top of the 08 redraft.

and if Saints had not blew a late lead vs Car we would have won the div

(i think they lost on purpose just to keep us from winning Div)

may have had even a super bowl team in 08

we would not have beat Steelers

But we would have beat Arizona @ The Dome

and EVERYONE Knows we would have Crushed Panthers @ The Dome

but yea i guess in most cases it takes 3 yrs

but there are clear Impact Players , who come out of almost every Draft and just Beast it up from Day 1... AP Moss A Johnson Smith Berry ect....

Dude he's a diva, he opnely taunts palyers, excessively celebrates, parties, and in general does stuff that isn't neccesary.

He's also going to a lcoker room that doesn't have a clear leader.

the point was we came outa that draft with 3 every down starters a starting slot WR and Starting Nickle Back

and they all made an Impact their first yr

all of them

on a team that everyone picked to win 3 games tops

so yea we didnt have to wait 3 yrs to get something big out of um
