Random Braves Note

Here is an interesting note I discovered myself. It comes from Bobby Cox's original stint as Braves manager. On August 4th, 1980 the Braves were 46-58. They then went 30-10 in their next 40 games and finished the season at 81-80. How awesome is that? There can't be many streaks better than that in baseball history.

Duly noted. Yep, that is a pretty good streak; but once upon a time there was a team that won 14 div. crowns consecutively.

There was a basketball coach @ UCLA, Wooden, I think was his name, that had a couple of good streaks but I believe that

fourteen in a row is the best ever. Yeah, I'm a bit of a homer, but the record speaks for itself.

Well I meant winning steaks during a baseball season. I know the Tigers of 1984 started the season 35-5.

I don't know how to spell facishious,but that's what I was being. That was a hail-of-a finish to the season that year.
