AtlantaFanatic
RECENTLY THERE WAS AN ARTICLE THAT CAME OUT GRADING THE TOP 100 NFL PLAYERS AS OF TODAY. 8 QB'S WERE ON THE LIST AND ONE OF THEM WAS OUR VERY OWN MATT RYAN. MY QUESTION TO US FANS OUT THERE IS REALISTICALLY WHO ARE 7 NFL QB'S THAT YOU WOULD THINK COULD BEAT MATT RYAN AS FAR AS VOTING FOR BEST QB IN THE LEAGUE? birdz4i
peyton manning, brees, brady, rivers, rodgers, maybe flacco since he has play off wins. so that leaves me one shy.

Have you seen his playoff stats. Matt Ryan's are far better.1. Aaron Rodgers (Yes I really think he is better than Peyton, Brady and Manning at this point in their careers)2. Tom Brady3. Peyton Manning4. Drew Brees5. Philip Rivers6. Ben Roethlisberger (As much as I hate Pittsburgh)7. Tony Romo?

Atl/0
How about watching NFLN's top 100 players and see where he ranks compared to other qbs on the list. Since it's based on the players' opinions instead of stat junkies and biased sports journalists we will see what guys that actually play the game really think. 1989Fan
On the top 100 players, their QB rankings will be (IMO) in order:1. Tom Brady2. Peyton Manning3. Aaron Rodgers4. Phillip Rivers5. Mike Vick6. Drew Brees7. Ben RoethlisbergerNow if the ? was what QB's would I take over Ryan for a 1 year SB run?Manning, Brady, Brees, Rivers, Rodgers.Don't think I would take any of them over Ryan for the long run though. Still not sold. Maybe Im just a little bitter still but I still don't think he is that good. He will have to do more this year to prove that too me.I agree about the long run, I mmmaaaaayyyyybbbbbeeeee take rodgers over Ryan if I was starting a franchise but even that would be close. Also if you have to think real hard to choose between Rodgers and Ryan then that would mean you think he is a top 3 quarterback correct? If so then your in the very small fringe group that actually think that around the nation.

Im saying that if I was starting a franchise and needed a franchise QB I would not pick Brady or Manning because they are too old. I would want someone who is not only good and has great leadership, but is also young enough to stick around for 8-9 years at least. Enter Matt Ryan and Aaron Rodgers. Rai
Players I'd definitely rank above Matt Ryan: Peyton Manning, Tom Brady, Drew Brees, Aaron Rodgers and Philip Rivers. The other two, I guess one is Roethlisberger and probably the other one is Schaub but I wouldn't be surprised if it's Eli, Romo or Vick instead. Rodgers easily over ryan if i were starting a franchise not even close
Tandy
Too early in his career to be ranking him in the top, IMO - but the kid has potential - lots and lots of potential. As for 8 QB's who are better than him at this moment in time:1. Tom Brady2. Peyton Manning (those top 2 are not in any order - lol)3. Aaron Rodgers4. Phillip Rivers5. Ben Roethlisberger6. Drew Brees7. Eli Manning8. Tony RomoYou can knock lil brother Manning all you want - but every QB on that list except Rivers and Romo has a RING. In my opinion - that makes them deserve to be there. Rivers is just a phenomenal QB even though he hasn't broken through to the SB yet. You can knock Romo all you want - but statistically - he may be the best QB of the bunch - or close anyway. Have a look see at the guys stats for real.QB's that I'd say are as talented or more talented than Ryan, in one area or another - but maybe not as talented in others:1. Flacco2. Vick3. Cutler4. McNabb5. Freeman6. Stafford(no order on those)Even with all that - I wouldn't trade him for any of them - not one. He's perfect for our staff, our team and our City. There are not too many guys who could have come in with the pressure and downright venom from some that he did - and stay as focused on the task at hand and take a leadership role in a locker room that was torn and bleeding. What he did was amazing - and for that alone - he deserves the opportunity to stay right where he is. The fact that he has also led us to 3 winning seasons -something no other QB in our history has done in their 1st 3 seasons with us - is pretty darned great as well.
