just think about it

With all the picks we gave up this year and next yr for julio, and the unceartainty of FA , Blank & co. has something up their sleeve. I c a trade involving a player and pick for a DE still under contract for a couple years. I think that guy would be Justin Tuck. 2nd ,5th and Snelling. He would pair well with bredshaw.

The next splash would be going after Namdi. After picking up a guaranteed 45 mil over 3 yrs, he will be more interested in going to a superbowl contender. Not to say he won't get paid, its just not going to be 14-15 mil. Grimes would have trouble leaving atl if namdi came to shut down one whole side of the field. If grimes declined a competitive offer for nickle corners, plug in Franks

Tuck has 2 seasons left on his contract making around 6 per. Abes departure will make it easier to keep him in a couple of yrs

Arthur Blank flies Namdie to flwry branch, takes him out for a steak and everything is history. 5yr 50 mil (25 guaranteed)

Expect this organizations aggresiveness to carry over into FA

I don't care if it is the same position or not, if it helps you win big, do it. Aso would help us tremendously, and we probably have enough players under multi year contracts at different positions where we can afford to do a short term contract at the same position. What about DE, which everyone wants first, well who will be opposite end, oh yeah the one we broke the bank for couple years ago, DE Abraham ring a bell

I don't see the front office or coaching staff going nuts over one game like the 'experts' have. Statistically speaking, the defense last year was the best the team has had since the 1998 squad and melted down in a playoff game due to inexperience from a significant chunk of its starters, injuries, and everything going against them (ie. the Packers were on fire going into that game and the Weems kickoff return TD completely drained them by having them immediately go back onto the field after trying to defend a long Packers drive). It doesn't need a total overhaul like some have suggested, especially considering it already got an overhaul in the past two seasons. Instead, it just needs one more piece at LDE and an extra depth piece or two in the secondary.

Don't expect them to make a desperate trade during the free agency period. They'll likely go after the player they want very hard to make sure they get him but don't expect anything more.

we have combined agressive moves in free agency year after year with the draft, I expect this year to be no different, and with us winning more and getting closer to a super bowl than ever before, we might actually get a couple of guys on short term deals at reasonable prices
