atljbo
So its not just build up speed.TonyGonzalez88Just finished watching a highlight film of Julio Jones. If he can can carry that over to the NFL....SCARY.
kiwifalcon
So its not just build up speed. The reason why JJ doesn't look that quick when accelerating is purely because of his size.I've seen the footage of him in full stride as you can concentrate on the defenders trying to get to him they can't close the distance.Hence why he is very fast and once he's in stride I think very few NFL CBs will run him down.Kinda reminds me of Michael Haynes running away from Darrell Green all those years ago at RFK though Green slipped he just could'nt run haynes down over the 80-90 yard chase I think much the same as JJ once he's in stride good luck. There is nothing about JJ that says, "finesse".
Psychic Gibbon
And remember this: He did that on a broken foot. Teach him to have softer hands on a more consistent basis and to make sharper cuts on his routes and he'll be nightmare fuel for opposing DCs, and he'll have Gonzalez and White to help him for both right away. Trust me. I'm not kidding folks. We shall all see in 2015 when all of the picks we traded have their 3 year Gazoo run. Can't wait. It will be a vibrant discussion. No matter which way it goes. FalconJim
Not sure I saw him on any UFA list. Is he still available? I can't remember.Nope.....not available.....went 5th in round 3, to Arizona. Seems like that would have been a great pick for us too, and heir-apparent to Tony G. At that size and speed, he's gonna be "breast"!!! But, I guess that's where we picked J. Rodgers, and I really like him.....may be the steal of the draft! Oh well.....maybe we can get a good TE in next year's draft. GO, YOU DIRTY BIRDS!!!FalconJim. phattywankenobi
[so its not just build up speed.Excellent point. People get so obsessed and then critical of 40 times but it's between 10 and 20 and agility that gets separation.

Psychic Gibbon
Look at Greg Little tho. who we should have taken in the second. dude is gonna be a beast. I like Julio thoLittle has a terrible personality and is incredibly raw. I have also grown suspect of players that put up flashy highlight reels in college since they tend to have lackluster NFL careers.
atljbo
Look at Greg Little tho. who we should have taken in the second. dude is gonna be a beast. I like Julio thoI like Greg Little also but the difference is obvious his 10-20 and 20-30 and so on got slower (going by his 4.53 40 which is still fast for a big WR).... He and Julio is basically the same size... I think Julio is faster... I think Greg Little is like Anquin Boldin and some would say Julio is a faster version of Anquin Boldin.I'm trying to see is Little best fit is inside (slot WR) or on the outside.Little has a terrible personality and is incredibly raw. I have also grown suspect of players that put up flashy highlight reels in college since they tend to have lackluster NFL careers.Yea.. I read some things about that and him being a Diva... IDK tho
