AAllInFlynn
He will probabley come and see us again when Carolina signs him.Depends, if we play Carolina in the first game of the regular season, I would agree. Any later than the second game of the season he will be on IR or PUP list.
HouTexFalcon
The thing about jerious, he was always out for the big games. I consider any game vs the Cowboys a big game. Every time we played the Cowboys, it was for playoff spot or just domination in the NFC. Once I knew that the Falcons didn't have that speed out of the backfield, it was going to be a long day. Norwood had some incredible runs. My favorite one that comes off the top of my head was against the Redskins in 06 i believe. The Falcons were dieing to stay in the playoffs race, they were down by 2 tds. Norwood blasted a 60 plus yard run when the Falcons needed it.I kind of hate seeing the highlights of Norwood's runs because they all came off of bad Falcon teams, This video truly makes me think. I wish we would have had him in the playoffs. Don't get me wrong, I love the picks that Td made. The big difference between who we got and Norwood, is that all of his highlights are against real NFL players. If we can keep him for vet min, we will be really dangerous.Kinda hope to see Ol Crazy Legs back. Go Falcons!
Xfactor
Our luck he would go to a NFC South team and stay healthy for the next 4yrs. Edited May 4, 2011 by Xfactor
falconidae
I think they sign him for the vet minimum and see what he can do. Don't think other teams are going to be in a rush to sign him.Love the idea of a set with White, Jones, Norwood & HD as wideouts & Rogers in the backfield. Statick
Don't you mean, hopefully he makes it thru camp without being in the training room or already on injured reserve? With some other team i mean, he's done here, period. I loved him when he was on the field: a rare occassion. But if you can't stay on the field, you can't help your team.I agree.I like Norwood, but he's another hip pointer injury or high ankle sprain away from being a liability to a roster spot that could go to a more productive and more sturdy player. SYD
I liked Norwood, great guy and great on the field, but after all these injuries I'm sure he has slowed down a bit now so he may not even be the Norwood of old. He looked a tad slower in the few carries he had last year anyway. We really need to just move on I'd rather not carry 4 RB's cause we are most likely going to need to carry 6 WR's as well. ConnFalcon
I love Norwood, but I think his days in the ATL are over. When healthy, the guy is explosive, with the big word WHEN. I don't think we would have drafted Rodgers if Norwood was going to be here next year.We can't keep going into seasons relying on him to be out change pace back that we so desperatly need, to have him get injured....again.I hope he has a succsesfull career going foward, as long as he isn't playing for anyone else in the south. nobkowski
Norwood was/is my fave player. But why did we draft Quizz? I hate to see Norwood go, but I want whats best for the team.
The O.D.B
Norwood was/is my fave player. But why did we draft Quizz? I hate to see Norwood go, but I want whats best for the team.I'd like to think that Quiz replaces Gartrell or Smith and at the same time gives us some sort of changeup if Jerious does go down. Like I said, If Norwoods healthy for only part of the season he'll still get more yards that the guys behind snelling. Adjust the contract and sign him, we have enough depth now to hold up without him.

RI Falcon
He was always a class act, I remember a speech he gave after winning an award while playing for Mississippi where he was talking about his grandmother. Tears me up every time and he's been a favorite Falcon of mine ever since. The fact he went to church every Sunday and drove a crappy pickup truck rather than wasting his money always added to that. It was always exciting to watch him and it's a definitely a shame he couldn't be healthier for us. I wish him the best of luck.
