Guest whitestain
No, I'm not saying he will , but I do think they will let him return some punts and then you will see what a real gifted return man can do .Why are you calling him a gifted return man when you don't know that? He didn't return anything his entire 4 years in college if I recall. Weems made the Pro Bowl, we know what he can do. It's ******* ******** that people want to replace a Pro Bowl player. d#d#d#
Never said he was menacing. Rex Ryan (I know a lot about him) doesn't coach up much. He expects immediate results as does Mangini. Our staff coaches up.and can make use of a guy.Kind of like how they coached up Jamaal Anderson? j/k, as i stated, if they bring him in and he sticks then good on him and well done to the FO... Guest whitestain
You'd pay Weems top dollar now? Just to KR?Why would we have to pay him top dollar? Edited May 3, 2011 by whitestain

It's ******* ******** that people want to replace a Pro Bowl player.Your right, I'm just saying what I believe. Hey, I may be wrong , but I think Weems is a solid player with limited physical gifts. And is a product of a very good Special teams we have. I see so many plays that seems like he should have gotten more yards than he does. He is good? yes, but is he great? No , no by a long shot. I think this is another area that we could do so much better in if we had a true return man with speed and cutting ability. Just like the nexplosive players we are trying to get with Jones. I look at Weems kind of like Jenkins. OK but not that outstanding player that we need to score more when the opening is there.
Knight of God
Why would we have to pay him top dollar? :blink:He wants to see the field more (unlikely now), he wants more money than Quizz will get, he's replaceable. When those factors are key (like in the NFL) players become even more expensive than they would have been. Just because Quizz may not have returned kicks in college (he did in HS) doesn't mean he can't be taught and do it well.I'm not so sure he didn't in college.EDIT: His brother was the return man. Draftnut57
Just curious, what's your breakdown on Dent and what he offers?Well, i LIKE THE pick. I think he will be a good pro. And I know that a team tryed to trade up with us to get him , they offered two picks below us for him but he was the player TD wanted and a lot of teams wanted him. I love the fact he is a tackling machine.

Ga_spider
I remember hearing a commentator mention that the reason Eric Norwood OLB could make plays like he did was because Cliff Mathews kept defenders off of Eric.

Every tackle hurts, he like to place his shoulder into the mid section.I have two concerns with him: 1) He doesn't have very good speed and 2) He doesn't really fit either inside or outside.Seems like the plan could be that he eventually become the SAM and pulled of in nickel...
