I figured the saints wouldn't be able to find a 100o yard rusher. Remember Bust once a 100 yards rushing in 5 seasons... B)

this coming from a guy whose realistic prediction for a rookie #2 WR is 16 yards a catch

I initially projected 1003 yards, but I thought that'd be as homerlicious as predicting a rook WR getting similiar yardage. ;)

JJ ROY

64 Receptions

824 yards

6 TDs

He'll drop 200 yards and 2 TD's worth of balls, so I've adjusted those totals for you. Now your totals almost match my prediction for Jones. ;)

And did I notice you've annointed him Rookie of the Year?

I think your spot on with Julio and Cam

I think Ingram will get about 600-700 yards, you gotta think he'll split the majority of the carries with Pierre Thomas and Chris Ivory

Meanwhile Blount will be putting up about 1500 and change rushing with 12 TD's!

Consider him our 2nd first round pick since he didn't cost us anything.wink.gif

Ha - I was waiting for you to chime with the Buc D-Line is going to shut all comers down.

Hey they're rookies! I'm more excited to see them in 2012 and beyond. D-lineman always take awhile to blossom unless your last name is Suh and you played at Nebraska.wink.gif

yeah I think 240 carries is a very high number considering Mike Bell lead their team in rushing attempts in 09 with 172 carries and thats the most any saints ball carrier has had since 06.

Even then Duece had just 242.

I think 150-175 is more realistic that carry range with roughly 600 yards rushing and 4-5 tds

As for jones

65 catches 900 yards, and 9 tds.

Newton..,... Better then they had last year.

Ingram should get about 180 carries. Ivory had 137 last year and was hurt for half the season and didn't play the first few games until the other RBs went down. I also think it's safe to say he'll average 5.0 ypc behind this line considering what the slew of RBs have averaged over the last two years (including Ivory at 5.2 last year). With that:

Mark Ingram:

180 rushes

900 yards

7 TDs

25 receptions

200 yards

1 TD

Cam Newton:

132 for 250

1600 yards

5 TDs / 12 INTs

80 rushes

450 yards

8 TDs

Julio Jones:

52 receptions

700 yards

5 TDs

And I'm still not sure how to figure in Atlanta's plans for Jones. Certainly they expect him to be their #2 WR. But the issue is that they're a ball control run first offense. Does this mean they're now going to try to spread teams out and take touches away from their RBs? I'm not sure Ryan is that type of QB. This could hurt the Falcons more than help them.

Homergeddon :rolleyes::lol:

Half those numbers, maybe

Basically what he's saying is that he expects Jones to put up Miles Austin type numbers. He also expects Julio to average 16 yards per catch, something he never did in college...

WFW is still a fool I see.

JJ: 55 rec, 850 yards 7 TD, around 15 ypc. If the kid heats up in the next couple of years, he could very well take White's spot.. could make for some interesting drama if that's the case.

MI: 150 carries, 825 yards, around 5.5 ypc, 9 TD.

25 rec, 300 yards, 12 ypc 2 TD Brees' passing attack should help Ingram out a ton, in terms of taking pressure off him

CN: 55% pct, 2200 yards passing, 12 TD, 14 Int

450 yards rushing, 8 TD, 2 lost fumbles. He doesn't have a great year, but decent for a rookie qb on a team that should be molding the offense around him.

Servo seems the closest on Newton. We all undershot his total yardage a great deal.

Julio Jones

81 Receptions

1,023 yards

10 TD's

Mark Ingram

229 Carries

980 Yards

18 Receptions

92 yards

16 TD's

Cam Newton, ROY.

320 Passing Attempts

180 Completions

2,350 Yards

14 TD's

10 Interceptions

110 Rushing Attempts

655 yards

10 Td's

.

Out of all of us, you seem the closest with some of your stats on Newton. I undershot Newton a great deal, myself. Especially in rushing TDs and total yards.

I still think M.I, can and will be an explosive player in the league. Right now, Sproles is a mad man. There's only so many plays in a game, and the Saints have a ton of quality players to share the load.

he struggled to find his footing early but he is starting to find his vision and is seeing the holes.

he is also breaking tackles now, which he struggled with early
