FlyHighFalcons
Julio Jones and Roy Williams are carbon copies nearly. They are both about 6-3, 215. They both have trouble with dropping balls. Both ran 4.3-4.4 in the 40. They are both very strong. They both wear/wore number 11 in the NFL.Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying he is going to be a bust. But what Roy Williams did as the number one option in Detroit (800-1200 yards and 7-9 TDs a year) is what Julio Jones will do for the Falcons as the third or fourth option (Roddy White, Michael Turner being 1 and 2, TG maybe being number 3). pencilpusher. just because
Julio hasn't busted or soared yet. As a matter of fact, he hasn't caught one pass in the NFL.It's universally said that Jerry gave up WAY too much for Roy. Time will tell on Julio. But I can't imagine him even having the year Mike Williams had last year. But at this point, it's all imagining I guess.

Boldin has had a great career but I hope we get a little more than that from Julio - maybe Terrell Owens(sans attitude) is another strong comparison.Roy Williams = NOT

Guest Gritz
Horrible comparison, really atrocious. The similarities between Roy Williams and Julio Jones begins and ends with their height and weight.Julio Jones is a workout and practice warrior. He will be a huge beneficial presence for the Falcons both on the field and in the locker room.I was going to spell out the other differences but then I realized I'm not really interested in educating the unworthy right now. FlyHighFalcons
Lmao idiots. Maybe you should learn that football isn't just a sport played by Atlanta Falcons, and that there is a chance that when two players play absolutely identical with each other, they have a chance to have a similar NFL career. Homer gogs.

ltstorm2
Michael Jenkins is a better comparison to Roy Williams. Except for TD's( Jenkins has a ridiculously low ammount) they're numbers are fairly similar and they're both large WR's that play at Brent Grimes height. takeitdown
Roy Williams is a much more linear athlete than Julio Jones. They don't play the same.
turn'em loose
i think the comparison to Bolden is right on, gurantee we could have gotten Bolden for a 1st, 2nd, and two 4ths and still kept a first round pick
AtlantaFanatic
Must not watch a lot of Falcons football. When the H E L L did Turner become our number 2 passing option. That dude cant catch a cold.
Panther Pride
He's and amazing athlete, no denying that, but Falcons probably paid too much for him.

JDaveG
I think he's going to be great with the ladies, just like Julio Iglasias. I mean, they're both named Julio, both played football (okay, Iglasias played soccer, but he CALLED it football), they both have that sweet shoulder length wave working, and they're both from Madrid.Okay, I made that last part up as to Julio Jones. But still, the comparisons are undeniable. I bet Julio Jones can sing, too!
RHEC
I expect JJ being a Fitz type player imo.

Knight of God
Julio isn't a skinny guy who can't catch passes. Also, Williams has Romo...Jones had McElroy. Many of the drops were Julio making a big play after a bad pass.
Terber
Roy Williams has never been as good as Julio at the same point in their career.
GuerillaOntology
He's right. They both wear number 11. It's fate.Cheers,GO
Birdbrains9
Im going to echo what most have said but this is a terrible comparison. Roy williams is a stiff athlete, scared athlete and overrated athlete. he plays like he is 5'9 and is scared to get physical. Julio is none of those and a better comparison to me would be a faster michael irvin.
Young Sir
andre johnson , T.O. (with out the ego) and brandon marshall (with out the ego) these are the players he emulates to me he is fast strong can run the routes and is a hard worker and leaves every thing on the field. i have even herd comparisons to fitz and i think we could all live with that. sorry for bring this thread back up but i was googling and this was one of the first links i had to comment
THE ICEMAN
The dude makes Roy Williams look like a kid Julio is way more athletic and faster there really no comparison as that there both big
