Tandy
They can't talk to the UDFA's until the lockout is over. Can't contact them - can't talk to their agents. Totally off limits.
JayOzOne
How long before the 2011 season becomes an asterisk? I'm thinking if there's no agreement by June 30, the entire season will be basically an exhibition season.
Smiler11
I know the lockout is still in place, but I don't expect it to last too much longer, at which point in time we can start signing some these UDFA.

I'm hopeful there will be football - but I'm no longer sure - and becoming less hopeful for a full season.

A lot of these guys will never get a chance now. Without training camp - and possibly no preseason - they are never going to be signed to a team or practice squad. It's sad for those guys. CHOCTHEFALCONFAN™
I'm really surprised Deandre McDaniel went undrafted.

A-TowN.-
lots of great names out there still. Devine, Herzlich, and McDaniel are all good.

I'd love to bring him and Herzlich into camp.there were 3 guys i was surprised who were not picked yet when the 7th round started and 2 of them were picked (allen and matthews) and the 3rd was locke. he is one heck of a player.. i would love to get him in here when we are allowed to. SacFalcFan
amazing with that ability that noel devine didn't have anyone even take a flier on him late..
Smiler11
I think Locke and Devine are probably too similar to Jaquizz, but I'd love to get Darren Evans. The linebacker from USC, Michael Morgan, is intriguing as well with 4.4 speed. gtjackets1729
These guys have got to be a nervous wreck right now. Some of these guys will never get a chance to play football again because of the lockout.
JOEinPHX
Lots of media darlings on that list - I think it highlights the difference between professional evaluations and 'analyst' evaluations. Separates hype from reality.Throw Dane Sanzenbacher into the WR column. Maybe not a Falcons need given the current state of things, but with Julio Jones on board, speed in the slot is no longer essential. Sanzenbacher does all the little things right, works hard, plays hard and would have great ST value. I think with Julio Jones in the mix, Sanzenbacher has all kinds of slot potential and more overall value than Harry Douglas.

JOEinPHX
Yep. This is exactly why we drafted Matt Bosher IMO.I think Bosher was drafted because Koenen's contract has been a burr under TD's saddle ever since he was franchised. It made a lot more sense after the Falcons set a league record for special teams yardage allowed, but recently, Koenen's contribution and consistency have fallen way off. etherdome
I hope that we can sign Willie Smith. He'd make a good understudy to Baker.

ki46dinah
Devine...he would be intriguing in the backfield.
bigjmw84
I would love to snag Daren Evans. He got overshadowed due to his knee injury and Ryan Williams emerging a a very good back. I expect the falcons to be active in player trades once its possible. Snelling could be one of the casualties for a 2nd round pick. Evans ran mid 4.5 and exhibits the power to be more than effective in that role. If he checks out medically, i say go for it.
