crankdatfalcon
Mike Vrabel arrested for Kansas City Chiefs linebacker Mike Vrabel was arrested for theft Monday at a Florence, Ind., casino.Vrabel was arrested at the Belterra Casino Resort & Spa on a Class-D felony charge -- the lowest level of felony crime in Indiana -- but was released Monday morning after posting a $600 bond."It was an unfortunate misunderstanding, and I take full responsibility for the miscommunication," Vrabel told ProFootballTalk.com in a statement through his agent Neil Cornrich. "I feel comfortable that after talking with the appropriate parties, we will resolve this matter."The crime carries a penalty of six months to three years in jail and a fine of up to $10,000.Vrabel, a 15-year veteran, won three Super Bowls with the New England Patriots before being traded to Kansas City along with quarterback Matt Cassel.Vrabel has also been a vocal member of the NFL players association and is among the 10 players named in the NFLPA's antitrust lawsuit against the league. Dude is a super duper veteran. You have to wonder now if this lockout is really getting to these players because they have nothing to do with themselves but get into mischief. Robb4242
Just ran this through my NFL player quote translator:"It was an unfortunate miscommunication" or in other words....They did not give me my preferential treatment that I deserve based on the fact that I'm a player in the National Football League."I take full responsibility for the miscommunication" or....my agent says this looks like bad PR and I could lose some endorsement money, so I have to make myself look better and contrite in the eyes of "common" Americans who don't have my football ability."I feel comfortable that after talking with the appropriate parties, we will resolve this matter" or....once I am able to properly bribe the local officals with some swag & maybe even getting the town a visit from Tom & Giselle, this will all be swept under the rug. BlazerHarvard
Sorry, but this isn't Goodell's fault. Lockout or not, this would still be the offseason. If you're a grown man, you should act like a grown man and not a punk.Players do dumb sh!t even when they're not locked out. Now it's Goodell's fault considering the players are locked out?Sorry, but I'm failing to see the logic there.STFU and stop making excuses for dumbfcuks. They think they can do what they want but Goodell already came out and said players will still be held accountable for their actions

Yes it would be the offseason, but since you dont have a mind of a nfl player, you dont know what kind of withdrawl they may be going through. Some players spend time around the workout facilites during the offseason, but they cant do that. The logic is, if the CBA was taken care of, most of these things that we hear happening, wont happen. Chad Pennington tearing his ACL playing basketball, or even chad ocho cinco playing in a soccer league. Nothing is wrong with chad doing that now, but if he were to get injured, questions would arise big time. NFL players live and breath football, so when you take that away, sure they "should" know how to act, but thats easier said then done. Say for instance if your job went on strike, and you couldnt work, or bring in income for who knows how long. It will eat away at you as each day goes by and might make you do something you dont normally do.

The NFL arrests database shows about 35 arrests from last off season and about a dozen so far this offseason. That doesn't include roethlisberger because he was never arrested or Brynat because he's being sued, but it does show that they'd be doing this ish with or without a lockout. And why isn't it Smith's fault?
