takeitdown 4,232
I really don't understand working out any SS unless we plan on making them OLB.We need a FS, as we don't have a rangy playmaker back there. A FS could take over if Decoud is injured, or if Moore is injured, Decoud could slide to SS and the FS could come in.Drafting a SS doesn't really help us that much. JRid 800
They were saying on the radio today that the Falcons invited over 30 local guys to Flowery Branch for a workout today. I haven't seen anyone here really mention it. Did I hear them wrong or do they have it wrong? Anyone know anything about it?I know they can invite all the local guys and it doesn't count against the number that they bring in to work out. It sounded like they invited almost every draft eligible guy in the area to Flowery Branch. They said they even invited AJ Green, but were laughing at the fact that 1st round guys would probably not want to go to the Branch with 30 other players.

Polar Bear Jones 105
Badgers BlogGabe Carimi: Great visits with the Falcons & JetsBy Dave Heller April 15, 2011 7:11 p.m. |(0) CommentsFormer Wisconsin left tackle Gabe Carimi will be giving his thoughts as he prepares for the NFL draft. If you have a question for Carimi, please send me an e-mail by clicking on my name in the byline (please include your name/nickname and place of residence). In this installment, Carimi discusses his recent visits to the Falons and Jets plus answers questions from readers. I flew into Atlanta on Monday and got in pretty late so I just had a quick dinner by myself at the hotel. They picked me up at 6 in the morning and went straight to their training facility to start my interviews with the Falcons. Their facility was amazing! Really top notch. It is located northeast of Atlanta in Flowery Branch, Ga.I had meetings with the medical staff and strength and conditioning coaches first and then they had me meet with a sports psychologist. When that was over, I met with the offensive coordinator, head coach and general manager and talked to all of them about their team philosophy. It was a great visit there. They said they liked how physical of a player I am and if was drafted there, they would expect that on every play.

He is a more athletic version of Clabo .... I see him as a probowl RT... I think he could be an OK LT but a probowl RT..I may be off base but it seem like he is having the same pro's and con's as Jake Long (as i remember) .

I never thought he would be an option at 27 with the lack of top end OT and teams usually reach for guys to protect the QB. Tyron Smith and this DE class have pushed him down the boards. Califalcon88 90
Jacquain Williams is a serious sleeper to me....seeing that we brought him in i say we draft him in the 6th....if there is a run on OLB maybe even the 4th or 5thhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dbntbvA-Cskhe played at like 225 or something like that but he bulked up to 231 and ran a 4.53 at his pro day...if he can get in the 238-242 range and still maintain that speed...we r talking about a real sleeper... i hope we get him. TD type of player also Edited April 20, 2011 by Califalcon88
niels petersen 330
I like that guy, Jacquian Williams. To me he seems like a Steven Nicholas type of player, and that is a good thing. He seems pretty athletic too, and if he can keep up the speed he could be a real good backup.
