KRUNKuno 9,371
Maybe it's just me, but I come away impressed with Akeem Ayers. He doesn't play to his poor 40 times, but rather is an on the field playmaker. I like his overall instincts, length and coverage skills. If put in our scheme I doubt he'd have to face too many receivers in one on one matchups. His coverage is by far above adequate. Pass rush is amazing as he has a quick first step and great strength. We do have a semi-need at linebacker, so I could see why we'd bring him in for a workout. He's a gamer.
84White32Quizz 338
Starting to really believe we will trade down with the Broncos for either their 36th or 46th pick AND the 67th pick. For some reason I believe if it's the 46th and 67th picks we will take Ryan Williams if he's there and JJ at 59 and if we have to, trade our 59 and 4th rd pick to move up a bit and get him.OrIf Williams is gone at 46, take JJ then and at 59 take Hunter. Green at 67 and I hope Sturdivant falls to our pick at 91.
Master Exploder 672
I doubt Sturdivant makes it to 91. I have a feeling he is going to get selected A LOT higher than most think. I wouldn't be surprised if he was taken in the early 2nd round.

hawkeye 158
I think the RB we draft will be a late round RB. I have my guesson who it will be and it may come as a surprise.

The same could be done with the Broncos. Trading a first for a mid second is not a good idea because you basically miss out on a whole 1 and a half rounds worth of talent even though there was nothing you wanted in the first at your pick

Last year he was looked at as a possible 4th or 5th round pick after his great jr year... He had an ok year last year... Dude has a big leg ...I would draft him and P Reid Forrest late in the draftCombine - Specialists performed earlier today. Most of the place kickers did well. All of the top guys converted 12 of 15. Kai Forbath graded the highest hitting on all of his FG attempts from more than 50-yards. Most of them had the distance to convert from 60-plus yards. In the Dome... His leg should be able to cover 60 yarders.
takeitdown 4,189
Very happy to hear that. He's one of my favorite late round prospects in this draft.Yeah I was hoping he (Alex Green) would stay a late rounder (6th rounder), and we could get him to be an upgrade over Snelling, even if we took an earlier scatback. He has great pass catching skills and good speed/quickness. The main question is vision, as he had huge holes at Hawaii. He made a lot of sense late...but if he's going to be a 3rd rounder or so, you have to like him over Hunter, Vereen, etc.

84White32Quizz 338
Does anyone think if we do get both of Denver's 2nd rd picks that we would keep them or trade one of them for more picks?I was just thinking with all of this explosive talent that there is in this draft that the more picks we have in rds 2 and 3 the better the chance of us getting our needs with good players and explosive players.I would keep pick number 36 because we could imo go either Torrey Smith or Ryan Williams and with picks 46 and 59 trade down. 46 trade our pick at 46 and 124 to move down and pick up a late 2nd and mid 3rd, then trade picks 59 and 158 to get an early 3rd and early 4th.Ofcourse we will need teams to want to move up but I hope TD uses the trade down option a lot. Our picks would hopefully look like this:36late 2nd(really wouldnt lose our late rd pick and gain another pick)early 3rdmid 3rd91early 4thSure we give up two 2nd rd picks but we gain four picks by trading them.Imo we could look like this:36- Ryan WilliamsLate 2nd- Jerrel JerniganEarly 3rd- Taiwan JonesMid 3rd- Jordan Cameron91- Colin McCarthyEarly 4th- Denarius Moore( imo he is a really good guy to groom, could be our nuber 2 down the road and imo in a couple of years could be a Torrey Smith speed number 2 guy)Future RBExplosive wild cardSpeed backFuture TEFuture OLBPossibly a future number 2 or 1 guy. Also has explosive speed.Dont get a DE but maybe FA coms along and we get Ray Edwards or let Kroy start another year and see what he does, might answer the LDE question. But just wondering if some would rather get three 2nd rd picks or have possibly get 5 picks in rds 2 thru 3 with a very early rd 4 pick. hawkeye 158
Even tho we are showing interest in Gilchrist, I still would ratherhave Carmichael over him. They both should go around the 3rd round but Gilchrist might go earlier b/c of his versatility. But Carmichael IMO is more of the playmaker. We really need that. Just like Solo said tonight on NFLN, sometimes the ones they are talking about the most are really not the ones to get drafted.(smokescreens) But Gilchrist's stock seems to be rising so he might not make it to our 3rd round pick anyways. I would take Carmichael or Johnny Patrick if he was available in that range too. Edited April 13, 2011 by hawkeye

I still hope we can trade down with Denver and get one 2nd rd pick and their pick at 67, if that happened I hope we take Foster or Sturdivant at 67.
