yep.. there is an extra week in next year's schedule so they added a bye week across the board for everyone.  auburn is lucky they got one before UGA comes to town.

adding Notre Dame and Texas A&M to schedule that already includes our traditional SEC Rivals makes this a very tough schedule at a time where UGA should have best talent ever.

If we win Natty in 2019/20 season, it will be because we earned it.

I agree

Ben Cleveland out 6 - 8 weeks. Hope Thomas is well soon.

That OL depth is being tested.  It sucks we lose big ben but we get to see these young OL men come in and see what they can do.

Man, remember when we had Worley and Hampton in the backfield with Henderson and Ellis? And Tate the year before. Wonder if we'll ever have a stable of backs like that again?

Oh.

And Wayne Johnson out there slinging it! Dooley's last Gator Bowl was an awesome game. Sparty had Andre Rison and they scored a TD on, like, 3rd and 29 or something. Lol.

Plays defense has give up over 20yds = 3

SC = 7

Kentucky = 10

Vandy = 13

MSU = 14

Arkansas = 15

LSU = 16

Auburn = 17

Tennessee = 17

Alabama = 18

UF = 18

Mizz = 19

Ole Piss = 22

A&M = 24

That's quite the stat for a team who has played half their games against QBs who could be playing on Sundays next year.

This corresponds with a stat I happened to see this week that I found somewhat encouraging.

UGA opponents current ranking in total offense.  UGA is 30th.

SC - #35

MTSU - #105

Missouri - #9

UT - #79

Vandy - #94

LSU - #107

FLA - #93

UK - #60

AUB - #91

UMass - #83

GT - #53

Austin Peay is 22nd in the FCS in Total Offense and that's including having played us. They'd be higher without.

The key take away is that this young-ish team has already played by far the most challenging offenses they will face in the regular season.  And while there are some things that need to improve on the defensive side, there is a lot of opportunity for the youngsters to grow.

Strictly an observation.  The Trevor Lawrence era begins in Clemson.   Lawrence and Justin Fields competed at Elite 11, all-star games, share same QB coach in offseason and workout together.  Lived about 15 miles apart.

I am sure Fields wants to make his mark soon and I believe he has earned more playing time.  I hope Kirby starts letting him play a little more.  We lost DeShaun Watson once - don’t want to relive that nightmare again.
