Update January 11th: LSU duo on he move….Updates on the Gold Domers…

- Sources have told us tonight that LSU running back Stevan Ridley will enter the draft. Ridley will begin training for the combine this week in Florida.

- Though no official announcement has been made, Ridley’s teammate, cornerback Patrick Peterson, will also start training for the combine in the Sunshine State this week.

- Sources have told us Notre Dame receiver Michael Floyd, once a given to enter the draft, has been waffling back and forth as to where his immediate future lies in the sport. Floyd is trying to decide which is wiser; entering this year’s draft and being selected in the first half of round two or staying in South Bend then move towards the 2012 NFL Draft as the highest rated senior prospect, considering all the underclassmen at the position that have already entered.

- We hear the news on his teammate Kyle Rudolph is encouraging. You may remember Rudolph entered the draft despite undergoing surgery on a hamstring injury in October which could have shelved him for up to 8 months. Sources today told us Rudolph is recovering well and a workout at the combine from the big tight end has not been ruled out. It will be a TBD type of situation for Rudolph yet the news is encouraging.

- Continuing to follow the story of Matt Reynolds, the BYU tackle has decided to stay for his senior season and will not enter the draft. Reynolds received a fourth round grade from the advisory committee. He recently underwent surgery to repair the torn labrum we reported several months ago.

- Vinny Curry of Marshall is still seriously considering entering the draft. He is still awaiting his grade from the advisory committee and is hoping it projects him to be a 3rd/4th rounder. Privately teams have told him he’ll likely fall a little deeper into the draft. Evidently Curry is likely to tear up his pro-day or combine workout if he enters the draft as sources have told us the 255-pounder ran 4.65 in the forty last spring.

I would definitely take Curry if he enters.
