The Saints Game = Rocky 3

So last night was an epic battle between two heavyweights. I tend to equate last night's game to Rocky 3, where Rocky has to come to the realization that he has een fighting nobodies, just to keep his title. Then a challenger, Clubber Lang (Mr. T) comes along who is hungry and fighting with the passion that Rocky once showed, and knocks the champ out.

Last night, we had to understand that while it was great to go on the road and win three games, those three teams were not at the top of their games yet, like the Aints are. The Falcons are indeed the best team in the NFC, but last night, they started to believe it, at least on offense, and they were unable to get that fire back. The best part is, if and when we meet again, Atlanta will be hungry and humble again, and this time, I expect a different outcome.

Besides, my boss got me endzone tickets for the next game, so I'm ok with seeing the starters, if even for a half.

I want to believe that, but our passing attack has been pretty pedestrian and difficult. There should be some easier throws in there to get a QB in a rhythm. We really are just lacking creative play calling and the Saints knew that.
