It was an East-west transit bus. 10 pm last night, bus slid off road and limb crashed through the windshield hitting the lady driver. Washaun called 911, got woman out the bus and stayed with her until ambulance arrived.

Here is another writeup on it:

Washaun Ealey and Mike Gilliard were following a university bus last night that lost control due to the bad conditions on the road. The bus hit a tree at the intersection of Cedar Street and Sanford Drive.

The driver of the bus was a female student. The airbag deployed and the windshield was shattered by a branch.

"It was a large tree," Ealey, a sophomore running back, said. "I stopped the car and we got out and ran to the bus."

Gilliard, a linebacker, and Ealey stopped. They pried the door open and stayed with the young woman until the ambulance came. She was panicing and crying. She was taken to the hospital and is OK.

"Mike and Washaun think they're superheros now, like they lifted the bus up or something or got a cat out of a tree," Bacarri Rambo said. "That was a good thing they did for the lady. That showed they care and they love everybioyd. That showed how they were raised up, because anybody could have kept going, but their parents raised them to help others out and not be selfish."

UGA Police chief Jimmy Williamson was not available for comment.

Great to hear that. Unselfish act by the two.

Of course ole boy Jimmy was not available. He's too busy trying to find the players riding a scooter around campus without a helmet.

Please send this article to the AJC boys and see if they will finally post a positive article about our football boys.
