I think a highly overlooked part of our win was our clock management as opposed to the Packers. Case in point: end of 1st half; Falcons wound the clock all the way down as far as they could before they scored the go ahead TD to take it to halftime. Only a few seconds was left for Rodgers to work with. What the NFL has shown the past seasons: you don't leave more than 45 seconds or so to go against great QBs (Brady, Manning, Rodgers). In the second half with time winding down Green Bay scored but they left 56 seconds on the clock. I was totally confident in our QB to bring the offense down the field. He doesn't have the massive stats compared to Brees, Brady, Manning, or Rodgers, but those QBs don't have a running attack like Atlanta does. Atlanta is a different beast to defend because they will attack you on the ground & in the air.

Incomplete passes stop the clock which is horrible for running out time. Since GB didn't have a running game, they couldn't run the clock and make yards like the Falcons can. Plus you add in the fact the Falcons were stopping them and you take what you can get when you can get it. On the Final plays incompletions stopped the clock, plus the penalties and it was fourth and goal, so they had to make the pass for td or it was game over. GB did what they had to do, and they needed the defense to step up, and they couldn't. The time management issues GB has is directly related to the injuries to the RB and their lack of running game.
