Reeves
AJ Green might go for 300 yards.Would be a great sendoff...until next year. I'm trying not to get my hopes up but I think he might stay.Wouldn't it be nice if some guys stayed for once to help UGA reach goals/championships? Reeves
When is the deadline for underclassmen to declare for the NFL?Not sure but I think it's before the current bargaining agreement ends in the NFL so players will be taking a chance either way.I would just be really impressed if houston and AJ came back to help UGA get back on top
Carter
GO DAWGS!!When is the deadline for underclassmen to declare for the NFL?I believe the final day to declare for underclassmen is January 15th.
ChuyDawg
Thanks guys. A decision on the NFL CBA should come well after the Superbowl then. It should be very interesting to see how many underclassmen take a chance.

Carter
i see green leaving, hard to give up top 5 money these days. With a rookie pay scale in place, it doesn't really matter. We're not going to see top draft selections getting record breaking deals anymore. He could leave, he could stay... honestly I think it's 50-50 with both Green and Houston. They both have openly stated they feel that declaring early would be a waste of time if there won't be NFL football next season. So it kinda hinges on what happens with the new CBA. Carter
theres no rookie pay scale in placeThere is also currently no CBA in place to govern rookie contracts for the upcoming draft. 2010 is the final year of the CBA. There will be a 2011 draft, but it will fall under the new CBA. The owners, NFLPA, and league office all agree with a rookie pay scale. They just have to figure out how to implement it. I guarantee that contracts for the 2011 draft class will fall under a rookie pay scale. They will hold a draft, but if there is no CBA agreement then teams can't sign anyone to a contract. The CBA is the labor agreement by which all contracts are drawn up from. If there's no CBA, there are no new contracts and no football with drafted or signed players. We might see another year of The Replacements.

Carter
Great game for recruiting. I hope the Dawgs put on a great performance.Great game for recruiting might be an understatement. This is practically the ONLY game of the entire season that will be any sort of meaningful weekend for recruiting. All the noon games absolutely killed us with getting kids into Sanford.Really looking forward to a great game from the Dawgs. This is a huge game for many reasons. ramblinwreck9
Dawgs 15 point favorite over tech..It's sad that a 5-6 team is a 15 point favorite over a 6-5 team. With that being said, if I was not a GT fan then I would take UGA and the points. Tech is a bad team this year. The team as a whole plays stupid. I don't feel like spending the time pointing out everything but most of these guys should not be playing. If Nesbitt was in then I would give GT a chance but with him out I am really glad that I have to work and get to avoid watching. Washington is just too inexperienced and soes not make the pitches. The offensive line blows in every aspect of the game. The defense doesn't have the right players yet. I'm confident in the future of GT football but I have accepted that this year is just a bad team with the exception of a couple of players..I would love to keep UGA from being bowl eligible but I predict a complete beat down on GT.. Regardless, THWG!!!

Just curious because I'm not real familiar with your players this year.I'm surprised the spread is that big. I wouldn't be surprised to see us put up a lot of points but I would be surprised if tech didn't score their fair share as well. Good luck next Saturday

Reeves
i would put it at a touchdown at most. That's fair, but I would say it's more likely to cover the current spread (13-15 pts) than not. We could come out and not play well, while they make plays to win the game BUT the chances of that aren't as great as us playing very well on offense, and above average to good on defense because they're so one-dimensional this year. http://dawgsview.blogspot.com/The blog linked above talks about our D against running QBs and why this isn't to be grouped in with those previous QBs/games.This game could be a breakout performance for Alec Ogletree IMO Edited November 23, 2010 by sreeves324
