KMarch
1991 ATL Falcons Season Highlights Here Seriously, this has to be one of the most exciting teams in Falcons history. I love they way they edited this too; you forget about our poor run game and mediocre defense that year. But, all that added up to some exciting games. PLUS, you get to see the tightest Falcons unis ever. MC Hammer on the sidelines at home games, and some hilarious 1991 crowd reactions. Fulton County was crazy back in the day!On a serious note, how much would you like to see 1991 Michael Haynes on the 2010 team? Him and Roddy? Wow! dmite
My highlight of the Falcon games in Fulton County Stadium as a kid was making a paper airplane and throwing it from the upper deck and it landing in the endzone for the score. Everyone around me cheered, because we probably weren't scoring. :P
Ric Roc
Like, I think it was cool as all get out, but can anyway explain why Hammer was kicking it at Falcons' games? Cuz I know dude is from Oakland... was it Deion, or were the Falcons just that cool of a team in the early '90s??There are even Falcons in the "Too Legit" video... Ric Roc
Does anyone else miss the old rivalry with the 49ers, or is it just me... seems we have some unfinished business.I just remember too many spankings from the 90s and early 2000s before realignment for them to leave right when we become competitive. FalconFanSince1970
I watched it last night after Farmer2 reminded us of Hulu a couple days ago. You could spend three days on that site and still not see everything. I've already watched 91, 78, 80, 02, 04 and 98. Need six more days to cover the rest. The one memory of the 91 season that came to mind after watching the highlights was the first home game against MIN. It was the first year I bought a season ticket for my wife who is totally not into sports. During the pre-game show they dropped some parachuters in. One of em got caught up on one of the baseball guy wires and plummeted 100 feet straight down and hit the goal post cross bar. He survived but had a broken back, hip and leg. As soon as my wife saw that she said let's go and hasn't been back. Anyone remember that?
Falconsfan567
Those uniforms were the best Falcons uniforms ever. I so totally wish they would go back to them.

It was combination of Deion and Glanville. We had all types of celebraties on the sideline who were invited by Glanville. Deion had a record deal in which Hammer helped promote and produced at the time. Here is one of his videos:Must be the Money

I think I saw it on the news. Of course, I was 10 at the time.

KMarch
Why wouldn't you want Hammer on the sidelines? He was there seeing his namesake Jessie "The Hammer" Tuggle. I think Blank should pay him $500/week just to show up on the sideline and be himself. We all know Hammer could use it.Hammer don't hurt 'em! BadMoonRising
90 uniforms where amazing uniforms, but I know some perfer the red helms.and some love these new ones, which I can't understand at all.
NCFalconfan
The 91 uniforms were okay, I wasn't a fan of the silver pants though. Like the dull grey, or white much better.

Goal Line D
Totally didn't realize Munson did the calls (radio?) that year. I always watched on TV and was a kid.

As soon as my wife saw that she said let's go and hasn't been back. Anyone remember that?I was there, but I remember the details a little differently. I was in that endzone. As I recall it he was the guy with the football for the kickoff. He circled over the crowd and was trying to land through the goal posts. The pilot chute hung on the wire that supports the net for PATs. He hung there swinging just a bit. He was just barely above the goal posts from my perspective. As soon as his main chute went totally limp, the pilot broke loose and he fell hard to the ground. His main chute inflated as he hit and fell over him. Willy E. Cyote would have been proud. The guy did stuggle to his feet and limp toward midfield still carrying the ball, but with assistance from a couple of the other stunt guys. I heard after the game on the news he had a busted hip and ankle. That was my last game at AFCS. I remember the day well. Outdoor football is the best. You might have had a better perspective. I was on the other side of the field. I definitely remember him getting caught on the guy wire, which was higher at AFCS than it is at the Dome. Much longer span. Attached to club level facade. His secondary chute may have opened but it didn't help much. I remember something hitting the crossbar and dude hitting the ground hard. Real hard. Death hard. Hard enough for my wife to say OK that's it, let's go. I don't remember him limping out to mid field but maybe so. Thanks for your perspective.
