Zanka
I personally think we need to replace him with a new speed back who is not prone to injuries. Darren Sproles will be a FA next year, and he won't be to expensive. He must have realized by now that he is not starting RB material. We could use a speed back like him who can change the game in an instance. He can play ST to, and get us great field position almost every time. Or we could go get a replacement through the draft. I am in favor of getting Sproles, but what do you think we should do with him?Or of course it could end up with no CBA and no football, and then we wouldn't even have to discuss this matter. JerryDwane
Next years draft is loaded with scat backs but I don't see us grabbing one unless its in the late rounds. To many other areas to address first. WE DEFINITELY need to replace Norwoood. Even though I love the guy he just can not stay healthy.Sproles would be a decent option if he goes FA Edited November 17, 2010 by JerryDwane

Dustin
First off, I love Norwood. Ive talked to him, and know people that know him well and he is a stand up guy. But we need someone that will not be hurt, weve got to move on. Sorry.
Dharma Initiative
If Norwood signs cheap then it's worth the risk. But ditch him running so much out of the HB position. Use him on trick plays and as a receiver.

maxatlanta
Keep him. Where are you going to find a #3 rb who is better? He's a very good 3rd down back, excellent blocker, and the perfect compliment to Turner and Snelling. He doesn't fumble and he knows our scheme. If we are worried about injuries then maybe this time we will spare him having to do KR(where he inccurred most of his injuries).

maxatlanta
I doubt we use a 1st or 2nd round pick to draft a #3 rb. DE/TE seems much more likely. Not dissing Devine, but we've got Turner and Snelling and TD is more likely to fill a pressing need with the early picks.

1989Fan
he wont get but a low 1 year offer anywhere, so it might as well be here.Snelling is the one I worry we wont be able to keep. He is a UFA, and mentioned wanting to have a chance to start after last season. If we lose Snelling, I wouldnt mind a 1st or 2nd round RB in the draft (since we will pick late, after all the top LTs are long gone. Norwood is gone, he's too fragile to have success in the NFL which sucks because he had blazing fast speed. I wish him well, but he's long gone as a Falcon... I do agree a DE has to be on order, since Kroy and Sid have been disappointing (in comparison to expectations)

Something along the lines of players with less than 6 years (instead of 4 as the current CBA says) in the league are at best restricted free agents. Also, I dont think he would be a #3 RB for long if we did draft him. Snelling would remain a good spell for Turner, but with a speed back like him, we would be bringing him in a lot more than Snelling. Basically, think '08 Norwood. I miss that guy. The O.D.B
If the Saints have the money to pay for Bush, who in a sense fills the same roll as the JWood then I believe that we have enough money to give JWood 1 more year. Just my 2 cents.
