He really was a special player and took us pretty far as a franchise at times, and absolutely made our the NFC south rivals crazy trying to defend him. He was really just fun to watch.That being said, I think Matt Ryan is just what the franchize needed. He is a great young QB, with a super high ceiling with the ability to win games for us, and doubt he is gonna get caught fighting dogs lol. So I really am optimistic to this franchises future.Here is to Matt Ryan not turning into the next Carson Palmer, and to him becoming the Tom Brady/Peyton Manning type QB that we have seen glimpses of. Am I old, decrepit and slow or do we have a new breed of microwave posters on this board? Geez folks we could lose like two games and be out of the playoffs. I still don't think yall are totally focused on the big picture. LOMBARDI. Rest. I just saw a parade down Piedmont celebrating the power ranking paper championship we picked up today. T Beazzy Loves Dem Birds Posted November 17, 2010 Share Posted November 17, 2010 this is what im talking about. everyone has punched ryans ticket for the hall of fame and he hasnt really accomplished much thus far. thursday was really his first meaningful win outside of his rookie season. last year and the first portion of this season were mediocre no matter how you look at it. if i told you 5 years ago that kyle orton and mike vick would be better qbs than carson palmer you would have laughed at me.Yeah i feel ya, but Ryan seems to be able to fire his team up like Brady,Manning, and Rivers. Carson is a good QB but he was supposed to be the next great one, and I just hope Ryan isn't in the same boat with him. The first part of this year Ryan looked pretty good, he has only had one game this season below 200 yards, so i would have to say he has been pretty consistent, but he has been on fire lately, I also think jenkins coming back has helped too. It matters not in the grand scheme of things if I, as a fan, start looking at the final game vs carolina. The team, under Mike Smith, is focused on The lambs....Guaranteed!When HE was here I swore he was the best QB to ever strap on an atl uni......Problem is he decided he didn't NEED to be.....There for I do NOT watch him play anymore.....that might be my lost, I enjoyed watching him when he was here, and I hear he has stepped up his game.....But , I dont care! He betrayed me and my loyalty!!!!!! Not by the dog fighting...or the lying..... But by admitting now he never studied! He did not care enough about you or me to even try!!!!!!!!!!!!!
