kdkane79
Huh, no replies from all the uga guys. I think it is pretty funny y'all are hating on nick fairley. Dude plays hard and that hit on murray to put him out was not his fault. watch the game and you'll see he was blocked into the qb. The one where he speared him in the back was bad and it cost auburn a td. But I've never heard a team so butthurt over a loss than this one. There are thousands of football players around the country who play hard without being a dirty thug. Nick Fairley is a dirty thug. He makes it a habit of taking cheap shots on quarterbacks when they don't have the ball and they're defenseless, trying to knock them out of the ball game with no regard for how much serious injury he might inflict. Not only did he use his helmet as a weapon on one of the most flagrant fouls I've seen all year, he used his face mask to rip the skin off Aaron Murray's chin while he laid his fat *** on top of him. Either one of those qualifies as the dirtiest play I've seen all year, but Fairley has been doing this all season long.As for "butthurt over a loss", is that the kind of analysis that you and your friends do at recess? One of your players acts more like an animal than a human, your coaches condone it, and anyone who raises an objection is "butthurt over the loss"? Are all the other football fans around the country "butthurt" too, because there has been near unanimous agreement that Fairley's play is about as dirty as you can get. The fact that Murray wasn't seriously injured by Fairley's cheap shots is a just luck, and several other quarterbacks could have been seriously hurt too. I suppose if he broke someone's neck on a late cheap shot, anyone who complained about that would be "butthurt" too. Or maybe your idea of "butthurt" doesn't conform to what most of our society considers acceptable behavior. Our prisons are full of people with that mindset. I don't think that's the mindset of the average Auburn fan, but unfortunately Auburn may have chosen a coach whose mindset is close to yours. If that's the case, there may be a lot of "butthurt" headed for the Auburn football program. Edited November 17, 2010 by CalDawg

CalDawg
It's nothing more than more trash talk, it's not very funny from my perspective.I understand the trash talk thing, and Auburn fans had certainly built up a backlog over the last four years against Georgia. But criticism of what Fairley did is not sour grapes. Unfortunately, Georgia players retaliated, but at least they retaliated against the guilty party, not against Auburn's quarterback. That's the dangerous thing about dirty players who repeatedly take cheap shots, it leads to retaliation and potentially dangerous situations. When fists started flying at the end of the game, they were getting pretty close to one. I would imagine that the first time Fairley hits McElroy without the football, they'll have one and Auburn will playing in the SECCG without a lot of their players. Billy Ocean
I'd be willing to bet you that most of the Auburn folks squawking the loudest are physically weak individuals. They couldn't take even one of the hits that Murray repeatedly kept getting up from like the Terminator. They'd be a lot more than "butthurt" if they took those shots. Their fat and/or muscle-less frames woulda crumpled like a brown paper bag while they curled up in the fetal position.

I watched the game and he was blocked away from the QB but Fairley tried to twist around and drive his helmet into his knee.

JaGz
Since when is being BLOCKED into the QB and Dive into the QB's legs while your approaching from the front of the QB? Point blank fairley is a Punk Bi Tch and any AU fan that defends him is the same. Sportsmanship should be involved and evendentally it isn't at AU. all I can say to that is... Like it's been said a thousand times before, this is about a goon intentionally trying to injure our QB. Get it through you thick skull. I don't care if the Dawgs would have won by 50, i'd still be pi$$Sed that the Auburn Good tried to injure Murray.

itsjustafleshwound
To begin with, those format anime-on-aterol videos are about as funny as nails on the chalkboard. To require the use of a one dimensional stereotype to set up your argument, you have to have a weak argument. On that note, I couldn't watch the whole video as those voices make me cringe. I suggest you study up on comedy before you try and make people laugh as so far, even your attempts to gloat are falling far below this board's standards. For gloating, watch a video of Fairley after a cheap shot and by interpreting his attempts to dance, you should have a good start. In trying to aquire a sense of humor which will function in society, start with Monty Python (all of it- you need it), possibly Will Ferrell, Steve Martin, and Chevy Chase to edge off the hyper-intellectual British humor and to also get a grasp of physical humor, and then take a look in the mirror to top it off- if you don't die laughing, I'll be highly impressed. ohiodawg8
I just wonder how AU fans would feel if the UGA defense was hitting Cam the way they hit Murray? Oh well, the NCAA is going to hit them harder than anyone soon. I am now looking forward to it.
kdkane79
No one has mentioned how many chop blocks they did on fairley. So don't act like uga players are the cleanest in the country. I've rewatched the game and there are plenty of dirty plays by uga. And the reason they didn't do that to Cam is b/c they couldn't get to him. And what about the fight at the end, all the uga players stated coming out on the field ready to fight. No one is asking for those guys to get suspended like uga is of fairley. Half your team would be gone if the ncas or sec actually suspended guys for entering the field. Sorry but I am just sick of all the negativity towards auburn. Also, Fairley's hit was BAD and not excusing it but this goes on in every football game, yet all everyone does it complain about AU.

If you think that we've been trying to say that Georgia is a better team this year, then I think you need to brush up on your reading comprehension skills.Accusing a team of cheating is not equal to whining. It can be a form of whining but even if it were to be whining, it appears to be a legit argument. Auburn is cheating to beat Georgia and Bama (which they haven't yet) as they've been so badly abused the last few years. In the process, Auburn's cheating could put them on five years probation. Its the equivalent of Vanderbilt getting pissed and paying Mike Vick 200k to play with them against Tennessee. So they win big for one year- they'll lose that year and pay for it for five more years.. Ok, I exagerrated there with Mike Vick but I think you get the point. And you can be naive and say that Auburn didnt pay that kid if you want to.
